Office Rescue VIRTUAL ASSISTANT SERVICES
Offering smart, flexible admin support
for your business Any task, any size.

We can provide support and on any level from tidying up those niggling jobs that you just don't have the time to do, to tackling re-organisation of office systems and larger projects such as press releases or organising team days. We understand that running your business takes up much of your precious time and that leaves little or no time to tend to the administrative tasks essential to the smoot

h running of your business. We are happy to take the burden away in order to free up your time and energy into tackling the more pressing tasks. We also appreciate that not everybody who runs their own business wants to deal with the administrative issues that inevitably become a requirement, whilst you may not have any employees to take on this extra workload; or cannot justify taking on permanent staff to do it. For instance, if you have 3 hours or 10 hours of administration work you need to offload in order to concentrate on your own tasks, we can take on any amount you need to hand over, whenever and as often as suits your business.

I'm so lucky I can literally work from anywhere as long as I have my laptop and a wifi connection!

Late September/early October took me and my laptop (and partner and pups!) on a 3-week adventure in a motorhome around the South West of the UK... 🚐 🧭 🏞️ 🐶 ...

We set up 'home' in 6 locations across 4 counties over 23 days:
📍 Cheddar, North Somerset
📍 South Molton, North Devon
📍 St Ives, West Cornwall
📍 Looe, South Cornwall
📍 Paignton, South Devon
📍 Ringwood, Dorset

A happy number of bright days allowed plenty of exploring in the surrounding areas; my favourite places being Cheddar Gorge, Exmoor National Park, Lynton & Lynmouth, Valley of Rocks, St Ives, Kynance Cove, Minack Theatre and Dartmouth!

Some early starts and time-blocking enabled me to fulfil the work for my clients without any gaps in service; whilst checking the forecast a few days ahead (and a bit of finger-crossing) allowed forward planning for afternoons out. And for those rainy days? Getting ahead on work tasks whilst looking forward to some lovely long walks when the clouds cleared! 🌥️

The best part is that my clients reported no disruption in the service whatsoever! I was confident this would be the case, but was great to get that feedback!

Bring on the next trip! 😃 🐾 😊

I'd love to hear about other people's 'working' adventures! Where has your work taken you to and how long for?

The Ruth Strauss Foundation has come together with ALK+ UK and EGFR+ UK for the All You Need is Lungs campaign.

This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, our message is simple: Anyone can get lung cancer – All You Need is Lungs.

The campaign is raising awareness by sharing 26 real stories from people living with lung cancer. They’re opening up about their journeys to help others understand the realities of lung cancer, wishing they’d known sooner that it doesn’t discriminate by smoking history, age, or background.

These stories also reflect the hope that promising advancements in treatments and research bring.

Today is about reflection for me.

Two years ago I was working my final day in employed work and about to embark on a scary adventure!

I still have to pinch myself sometimes, and have done for many reasons, questioning both the positive and negative consequences of my actions over the past 24 months. In the early days, it was, have I really done this - removed my source of secure income; pulled myself out of a situation that was making me miserable; trusted myself with the task of creating something new for me. Now it’s more like, wow, have I really come this far already, am I really on this amazing path that I created?!

And I’ve had doubts along the way too, of course! Mostly very fleeting moments, thankfully. It has been an enlightening, educational, and at times exhausting journey so far. But I haven’t looked back on that decision with any regret, even in those moments when the classic negative internal chatter and self doubt has challenged me.

The outcome: For one, I feel a sense of achievement like never before and I’m look forward to growing more as a person and continuing on my mission. The overall experience has been a positive one so far. I am happier, feel better about myself and I am grateful to myself for being brave and bold and believing in me! The relief of walking away from my previous situation and finally embarking on this adventure is still very strong.

I didn’t go into this blindly believing everything would miraculously fall into place and that it would be easy; nor that I would be financially better off (I’m definitely not!) and I’m under no illusions going forward either, but I have enjoyed the challenges and will continue to do so, and most of all I will continue to enjoy the rewards of my efforts. The freedom and flexibility, being true to myself and realising my dreams.

I’m just so pleased and happy to be where I am right now that I simply want to share it! 🥰

Always lovely to get a new review. Proud of what I do and the support I am able to provide to business owners.

What are your 2024 business goals?

Perhaps you’d like to create more time…

⏳ Time to focus on the work that drives your business forward

⏳ Time to work on the aspects of your business that fuel your passion for what you do

⏳ Time out for you, to take care of your personal needs and well-being

Whatever the reason, hiring a virtual assistant to take on some of the administrative tasks that create overwhelm can free up time for you to focus on what matters to you most.

You can check out my website for more details, send me an email or WhatsApp me to arrange a no-obligation chat about the ways in which I could help you to free up more time.

Always a lovely time at Eve Calderbank’s Ambitious Women in Essex events and today was no exception. Especially with the Christmas vibe. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get any photos apart from this one of Nikki - Paradigm Coaching Consultancy - with the amazing food that was provided!

I did, however, manage to snap some of our impromptu “post-networking” Christmas drinks at Greyfriars!

Lovely to connect with some people today.

Starting with an online 121 with Melanie Smith, having a good chat about coaching, life, being in business and humanity in general - could have chatted for hours! ☺️

And followed by a visit to Matt Brinkley's Therapy Gym in Holton St Mary - truly inspiring to see the passion and ethos on which this place thrives! It was so lovely to learn about Matt's business and his journey to creating this wonderful space and much needed service! 🙌

Resilience.

This was the theme at the VA Conference last week in Bournemouth.

Coincidentally it is also the theme in this book I finished reading last night, by Isabel Allende.

In the Author’s Note at the end of the book she talks about the many stories she’s heard “of loss and suffering, but also so many of courage, solidarity, and resilience!”

I thought it very fitting following on from conversations in the session we had at the conference and the talks presented to us there too; all on the topic of resilience.

I highly recommended the novel to anyone; she is a fantastic writer and so creative, whilst exploring real-life themes. A great read.
