On Tuesday evening, your tired paws took their last steps. My boy, you walked beside me, through my best and worst days. I’ll forever be grateful for our time together.
You taught me if there is something you want, make your presence known - raise your paw and bark until you get it - life is too short not to get your own way.
You reminded me to enjoy the simple things in life, a long walk, a good meal, a tummy rub with a foot. To always make time for the things that bring you joy. You can never chase too many bubbles…
Your beauty was more than skin deep. Even after your modelling career ended, the scars appeared and your sparkle dimmed, I never saw such a handsome boy. You brought a smile to the faces of strangers and brought out the kindness in others.
You taught me how to be resilient, life was tough, but you were tougher. Your strength knew no limit, you inspired me and so many others, every day. In the end, it was me who had to be strong.
Hugo, you were more than a dog, you were my best friend and soul mate and I’ll miss you for eternity.
9 years 10 months 25 days wasn’t enough, if love alone could have saved you, you’d have lived forever.
