Come and visit some of the great characters we have here at Animals Encounters Farm, we have a real joyful bunch that love interacting with the public! Open on weekends 10am-3pm, please check we are open ahead of visiting in adverse weather conditions.

💫 It’s all about FUN this bank holiday! We’re open all weekend, NEW animals here at the farm and don’t forget our fun day Sunday & Monday 11am - 4pm including Exo Terra reptile & critter handling and ‘Pretty my face’ will be doing awesome face painting! FREE entry to the farm, donations are welcome.

Welcome to Animal Encounters Farm

We are excited to welcome you all to Animal Encounters Farm situated outside Swallow Aquatics Colchester. We want to tell you about our animals in residence so far and what we have planned for our visitors so come and visit us.

All the animals you see at Animal Encounters Farm have been re-homed or rescued and we are pleased to provide them with a happy home. So far you’ll get to see American Dwarf Pigs, Battery Hens, Bantams, Buff Orpington hens our very chatty pair of Macaw Parrots, our giant Sulcata Tortiose Keats and our sheep who are our newest members . Our aim is to be a place where we can engage with children and adults to provide educational visits and activities, along with opportunities to feed and interact with our animals. We also have our 42000 litre pond, home to some amazing Japanese Koi, which you can feed and enjoy watching.

We have more animal friends moving in shortly so be sure to return to see whats new!
