As of June 2015 it changed ownership and name to Paws Colchester Veterinary Centre. It has been refurbished and updated, and the facilities can now cope with almost any eventuality. Our friendly staff include highly experienced veterinarians and we also have registered qualified nurses and nursing assistants. All staff are carefully selected for empathy with their patients as well as clinical exce

llence. The veterinarians at the centre have many years of experience in treating dogs and cats of all breeds, rabbits, guinea pigs and smaller rodents. Our facilities include a newly refurbished sterile theatre, digital radiography machine, the most up to date ultrasound and endoscope. The waiting room has a large selection of toys, self-help medications, accessories and diets. Our staff are also trained to give advice in selecting the correct product for your pet. Items on these shelves are competitively priced with respect to supermarkets and internet traders. In order to promote healthy lifestyles, the staff have put together packs of free samples and information to get your pet the very best start to life. Please contact us on 01206 561407 or email us at [email protected] for further information and enquiries.

Did you know even a small amount of raisins (or grapes)
can be dangerous for dogs?
They can cause kidney failure, so it’s important to act fast
if your dog eats any.
What to do if your dog eats raisins or grapes:
Call your vet immediately. Don’t wait for symptoms
If you can, tell them how much they’ve eaten
Signs of raisin poisoning include vomiting, lethargy, and
loss of appetite. Even if your dog seems fine, seek
veterinary advice.

Lambing season is here, so take extra care walking your
dog in the countryside.
Sheep and their lambs scare easily, and even the
friendliest dog can cause distress. Keep them on a lead
near livestock, and stick to footpaths. It’s a simple way to
protect wildlife and keep your dog out of trouble.
