LEVEL 1 SWUK MOCK TRIAL

Location: Coleraine, Northern Ireland
Date: 15th March 2025
Time: From 9:30am onwards (maximum of 6 teams per search, each search element will have a time slot)
Run by: Laura Kirk – Approved SWUK Instructor, Trial Manager and Judge

Price: £12 per search element

Are you preparing for your first Level 1 trial and want to get a sense of how it works on the day?
Did your recent trial not go as planned, and you’re keen to improve?
Or are you simply looking for extra scentwork practice in a trial-style environment?

This workshop offers the chance to experience the structure and atmosphere of a Level 1 trial. You can choose to approach it as a competition, run each search under trial conditions, or use it as a training opportunity with guidance from Laura.

Regardless of your approach, you’ll receive detailed feedback, expert advice, and the chance to ask questions about each section. This is a great opportunity to build confidence, refine skills, and prepare for future trials.

There will be future workshops for other levels in SWUK plus Nosework Games.

The early start and some icy roads were worth it today. Munchie winning the bronze Scent Ops trial 🤩 and getting to judge the first Silver trial in NI alongside Patrice. Big thanks to Lesley Clements for organising this day and the rest of the winter series, Liz for judging along with Lesley plus Lynda for excellent organising of the handlers. Well done to all the teams today too.

Walk & Train is back!🐾

Struggling with behavioural challenges on walks? Whether it's pulling like a freight train, pre-walk excitement or recall struggles, Walk & Train is here to help!

Over the course of 45 minutes, I’ll work with your dog to address specific issues and improve their walking experience. Areas we can focus on include:

✔️ Pulling on lead
✔️ Engagement with handler
✔️ Recall
✔️ Front door/vehicle etiquette

We can even introduce scent detection or tracking foundations!

No need to join the walk – I’ll provide detailed video notes of our session*. Book a single session or save with a package, which includes video notes and ongoing WhatsApp support.

*Our Walk & Train service is NOT designed to replace the need for YOU to train YOUR dog but it will provide support to help you achieve your goals.

Due to the storm today, our Christmas (Not Christmas) Mantrailing special will now take place in the New Year! Huge thanks to all the teams for their understanding, some horrible travelling conditions out there including trees down, flooding and snow.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported, been a cheerleader, shouted about and worked with me this year—it means the world. We have 3 more sessions in 2024 before more adventures, new skills, and exciting times in 2025!
