BB's Pet Sitting and Dog walking

That's it, 2024 is almost over. I have a few walks to do between then and now but my pet sitting diary is closed until the 6th January. 💕

I just want to say a huge thank you to all my wonderful clients this year, you have just been absolutely wonderful, this is truly the best job I could ever hope for and you all make it possible. This has been an incredibly tough year, we lost some just absolutely wonderful dogs (Bailey, Rocky & Ripley) and I have cried more tears than I care to with some of you on your doorsteps, both for your dogs and my own wee Boo 💔 I will never forget all your kind words, hugs, cards and gifts they truly helped me so much I cannot thank you all enough. We also said a farewell to the lovely Yogi who has gone off on his travels to London to start a new exciting life, I will miss his happy face immensely.

So with all that said I cannot wait to get back into work again properly in the New Year and I will have some space available for some new dogs to join me, but until then I'm off to spend some quality time with my dog and family.

Have a wonderful Christmas and an even better 2025.

Winter definitely arrived this week. Still lots of fun to be had out playing in the snow and puddles for all the dogs. Hopefully next week won't have the same amount of snow or ice 🫣❄️

Today is world mental health day. For many people their dogs and other pets are a huge help in releasing a little of the tension that comes with everyday life. I really hope everyone gets to do something nice for themselves and either gets out somewhere nice for a walk with their dog, gets to curl up on the sofa with their cats or just gets to go and have a nice coffee with someone.

However if you are struggling and you feel you don't have anyone close to help reach out to Action Mental Health a fabulous group based in Northern Ireland who are always there for support.

My heart is shattered, this evening we said our final goodbye to each other, after a little dander and some steak on the beach, we have spent the best 16½ years together and I hope you enjoyed every minute as much as I did. I will be lost without you following behind me at every turn. The stories I have of you will last a lifetime, I only wish you were here to help me tell them. I hope wherever you are you are hunting down mice and chasing chickens till your heart is full. My sweet Boo love you forever.

Thank you to for letting us be able to say our goodbyes at home and making an incredibly hard day that little bit easier.

If you haven't walked your dogs yet please leave it until this evening when it's cooler. No dog ever died from missing a walk but plenty have died from walking in the heat.

Our dogs haven't had time this year to get used to the heat, we were wearing coats last week and had the heating on. Please, please be sensible with your dogos.

People always think it won't happen to them and you may be lucky and get away with but why take the risk.

Young, old and brachycephalic (flat face dogs) are at particular risk of overheating quickly.

If you do find yourself with an overheating dog please follow the advice above. 🐶😊
