Where did it start?

They say patience is a virtue. And boy have we learnt that! It all began back in May 2017...

Three women, all from different walks of life, thrown together by fate (or the fact that we all bought our gorgeous pups at the same time).

After instantly falling in love with our precious boys, we all shared the same desire to understand and care for them the very best we could. This lead us all to enrolling on a Dog Health and Behavior Course, and not stopping there, continued onto a Dog First Aid Course.

“Wouldn’t it be great being around dogs all day long. All those slobbery kisses and waggy tails”.

And the only worry being having to spend half the day finding their balls (if you have a dog that loves balls, you will know just how painful that is. Especially when they are the nice, new shiny ones. Knee deep in nettles hoping to find where it landed, on your hands and knees stretching your arm as long as possible to retrieve the ball from under the back of the Holly Bush. Those balls are like gold!).

With the knowledge and passion we had, and years of experience with us all growing up around dogs, we decided to take things to the next level. Talks continued into turning our dream into a business, to not only care for our own boys but to be able to offer our services to your lovable pooches too.

So the idea of Happy Hounds Daycare was created (well actually we’ve gone through an endless list of daycare names and it took us 2 months to choose one. And don’t even get us started on planning permission. If we never have to see a planning application again it will be too soon).

But we have finally made it. We are almost ready to move into our premises and create a Magic Kingdom for your furry friends to spend their days at. A pad for dogs which is safe and secure. Providing fun,structured activities throughout the day in a comfortable setting. A home away from home. And not forgetting the best part, making lots of new furry friends!

You can be relaxed knowing that whilst you are at work or simply just out for the day, your furry beloved is having the time of their lives and being cared for as if they were our own.

And as well as all the fun activities we have lined up, we will also work alongside you to help further develop your dogs training needs using only positive reinforcement and a range of healthy treats.
