Today has been our final day in Madeira and we head home tomorrow evening. It’s been a lovely relaxing week and we’ve been blessed with beautiful weather.

Just letting you all know that I’ll be back to work on Tuesday. I’m looking forward to seeing all my four legged friends and resuming our adventures. 🐕‍🦺🐕🐩🐴🐈🐈‍⬛🐾💖

Unfortunately we had to cancel a number of walks today due to the weather, so thank you to those customers for being so understanding. The priority was to get to the dogs that were home alone and needed a walk/toilet break. We did manage a few fun walks in the snow though which was great fun ❄️💖

It goes without saying that your support this year has been unrivalled and greatly appreciated. I feel very honoured to walk and care for so many amazing animals. 🦮🐈🐴🐇🐁🐠🥰

I’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for all the beautiful cards and gifts.

Now it’s time for everyone to rest and recharge. I’ll be back to walking duties on Monday 6th January 2025. 🐕‍🦺

Although officially I’m not working this week I have been looking after the competition horses at ‘Eventing at Cloud Cottage’ for the past 12 days and today was my final morning. It’s been hard work with each horse requiring specific care to help maintain their level of condition - early mornings and late finishes. However, I’ve loved it and look after them on a regular basis throughout the year.

The owner arrived home this afternoon and sent me these lovely thank you texts. Such lovely words and I am truly humbled.💖

So a quick update on ’Doris’ the dog van. Most of my customers will be aware that Doris is presently undergoing an engine transplant. I’ve spoken to the mechanic today and it’s now looking as though she won’t be back on the road until next week purely because we are waiting for a part from Citroen. I have been able to walk the dogs that are close to home and now have use of our 4x4 but with only 2 cages I am limited to how many walks I can do each day so am trying to prioritise those dogs whose owners are out at work each day. I do apologise for any inconvenience and I’m looking forward to getting Doris back soon 😍. Thank you to everyone for being so patient. 🙏🏼🚙🐾💖
