‼️ New policy in place regarding payments

Effective immediately, services will have to stop for any clients with outstanding bills when the new monthly invoices are sent out and will resume when the previous months arrears are cleared.

We already work in arrears to make it easier for clients to swap and cancel their walks where needed with no cancellation fees in place. However, as I pay other staff members for the work they’ve completed, the money is actually coming out of my pocket and every month invoices are not being paid, unfortunately I cannot continue to keep doing this and continue with the business.

This is really not something I want to do as I’ve always tried to be as flexible as possible with payments to ensure the dogs always come first and I completely understand people do go through rough times and I’d hoped to keep the business as accessible as possible for all but with all the costs of running a business, sadly it’s no longer possible.

I hope everyone can understand this wasn’t an easy decision to make and I have been putting this off for months now. We so greatly appreciate all those who pay on time, you make what we do possible 🫶🏻

We do appreciate all the support and are grateful to our clients for trusting us with their pets 🥰

‼️Weather update - snow is no better this morning and looks like it’s starting to turn to ice, we may have to do short walks from home to fit everyone in today safely.
Please let us know what your streets/estates look like so we know whether to leave our vans and walk to your houses

‼️ With there still being lots of snow on the roads, walks will be shorter tomorrow as it will take us longer to travel and collect/drop dogs
We’ll assess the weather first thing in the morning to check all walks are still good to go ahead ☺️

🐶🐱Charity Donation: Newcastle Cat and Dog Shelter received the most votes for our Christmas donation and I’ll be sending them the money we otherwise would have spent on our doggie clients this year, thank you to all who took part in the vote ❤️

I reccomend sorting back up options for your woofers tomorrow, if your lucky enough to get to work.

As always I will try my best to get around everyone but I will not be putting myself or doggos at risk.

If I can get around, walks will likely be from home and shorter which will effect timings.

I just want to say a massive thank you to Henley Gardens Garage for aiding in my van crisis on Thursday 🤣
David was there within 5 minutes armed with a battery pack when I rang to say my van wouldn’t start, turned out it wasn’t the battery, so 5 minutes later Peter was also there to help give it a push to get it started. David ordered my part straight away and got me booked in to sort it the same day. Then when I stalled it before I managed to get it back to the garage, (after many tears by the side of the road 🤣) they were both there again to get it safely to the garage. Their late hours Thursday were an absolute life saver as I got my van back Thursday night to get back to normal for Friday.
Come Friday - I rang in a panic that my van wouldn’t start again, full of dogs, within 10 minutes both were there ….. turned out I had just got it stuck in gear so I very sheepishly thanked them and apologised for wasting their time on a Friday afternoon 😅 but they even followed me to my drop off to make sure everything was okay!
Absolutely above and beyond and I’m so grateful! 🙏🏻 It’s so difficult when you have to rely so heavily on vehicles for your job, especially when you have as terrible luck with them as I do!! (Also very grateful to the best father in law and husband for dealing with constant phone calls to tell him something else has gone wrong hahaha)

An extra shout out to my mam for being on hand and lending me her car Thursday and Amanda for coming straight to my aid Friday to drop dogs off for me 🥰

Even with the bad luck I have, I’m still so blessed to have the support I do 🫶🏻

My (new) van won’t start up 😭 so walks will be delayed and shorter today as I’m not sure how long it’s going to take me to get going again, currently waiting on someone bringing a battery back to get me going again!
If you can manage without today (just the hour walks), please let me know, so sorry!
