Thrilled with Chilli's results this weekend at Blackpool champ show! Thanks so much to Gloria for handling her for me whilst I was busy celebrating my very best friend's hen party in Dublin. You did a wonderful job of her with such kind and sympathetic handling, very grateful for your time and generosity!
Love this little dog and the way she moves, she's a strong and fit girl with bags of power and may look a little 'muscled' in the ring in comparison to alot out there but I wouldn't have her any other way! 💪🏼
Excited to keep powering along on the journey this little dog with a big heart is taking me on 🥰

Blind over water onto a bank.
Nothing fancy or complicated. I've not been doing anywhere near enough training with the dogs recently, not even picked up a dummy since last time I posted. Life just takes over sometimes (house reno and work to be honest) and I keep telling myself that's OK even though the inconsistency is driving me insane.
Impressed with chilli's maturity, coming out and answering questions despite being out of practice. Last time I cast her across this pond from this direction I stopped her on the bank and handled her left... so I was fully expecting anticipation from her to do that again but she stopped and thought about it, I kept quiet and let her work it out and only reinforced her with 'back' when she offered what I was looking for. Its such a balancing act with these dogs building confidence and letting them think for themselves without them anticipating... trying to not over handle but having a dog that will be handled 🤯
I liked how she checked in with me, thought about what I was asking her, held the area and used the wind to figure out how to tackle the terrain.
Love her to bits, always a pleasure Chilli Dog 🌶

I was recently asked by the PPC to share a few words regarding my experience with Poodles in working gundog roles.
The PPC is dedicated to promoting Poodles positively, which is something that is important to me. Its been a pleasure to be part of this whole process.

Chilli has had a quiet few weeks with being in season, she's done some growing, lost some condition, been feeling a little flat and sleeping a whole lot. Hopefully we can crack on with some more training soon 🥰
