Hello everyone, as many of you will be aware from our WhatsApp chat, I have asked if you can join me in giving as little or as much to our local guide dog charity instead of exchanging gifts for Christmas this year. I’m sure you will all agree that the charity need our help more than we need gifts. Many thanks all 😊xx

Sparky has been reunited with his lovely family 👍❤️.

I’ve just found this little boy wandering along Ty Gwyn Rd, Eglwysbach on his lonesome this morning. No collar, very hungry, quite timid and hand shy. Think maybe he’s been a working terrier judging by the scars on his nose. Could have been wandering for miles. He’s home with me at the moment. Not quite sure what to do with him except feed him up and keep safe and warm. Please share if there is a kind and worried owner out there who is missing him.

Happy Sunday all. I’d like to say many thanks for all the lovely comments regarding my previous post about the late Bruno. I’m sure his family are very appreciative of your kind messages 🥰 and thoughts.

I would like to introduce four new faces of Leo the lively Cockerpoo, smiley, happy Ocean the Golden Retriever, Skye the baby Rottweiler, and Cooper the very energetic Australian Labradoodle. Each one has settled in extremely well with all our original K9 family.
I have hundreds and hundreds of photo’s of all your wonderful doggos, I hope I haven’t left anybody out. Please give me a nudge if I have and will upload. Have a great week everyone 🐾🐾😁xx

On the 4th April 2018, this legend, BRUNO, became one of the very first dogs to join my new dog walking business.
Very shockingly this afternoon, I received a phone call from Bruno’s dad to say he had passed away in the early hours of this morning. Bruno was only 8 years old, far too soon to be taken from his loving and wonderful family.
Bruno was an enormous character. He was loving, genuine, enthusiastic, a true gentleman of a dog, and adored children, especially his two little human girls at home. He was as daft as a brush and most of all, he was a mud monster. I could never get him round an hours walk without him finding something disgusting to roll in. I often wondered when I was going to get the sack from Adam or his mum Linda for bringing him back home in such a state.
We all know how deeply painful it is to lose our best friends but his lovely dog dad and family can take comfort in the fact they gave Bruno a loving and caring home with everything a dog needs for a happy life.
God bless you Bruno, have more fun over the rainbow bridge and keep out of the mud 😢🌈🐾🐾❤️

Has been a lovely week having all your wonderful doggos back, fit and healthy. Fortunately only a small number of dogs had the dreaded kennel cough and only mildly.
What a fabulous bunch of dogs I get to spend my days with. Love them all 🥰. Thank you everyone 🐾🐾😁

Thank you to everyone who has commented and private messaged me concerning the welfare of our Olive and other dogs who may have symptoms of kennel cough.
I would like to reassure everyone that there is no blame to be cast. Very often people look to blame someone for their dog catching an infection such as kennel cough. I can’t stress enough that many dogs do not display symptoms, so why wouldn’t they send their dog off to daycare or boarding. I certainly don’t want to put my dogs at risk so would never allow a dog in knowing they had symptoms. I can only act and refuse dogs in if they are poorly.
Many of us are parents and don’t think twice of sending our kids into school with a snotty nose and cough. We don’t look to blame anyone when our kids come home full of a cold. Be kind everyone, don’t judge and let’s look after all our wonderful dogs 🐾🐾❤️

Hi everyone, as most of you will be aware from my K9 WhatsApp group, we have two confirmed cases of kennel cough. One of them is our Olive who is now in isolation.
I would urge everyone to contact their vet should their dog display symptoms of a hacking cough or retching for more advice and information.
What I will say is, just like children going to nursery or school, they pick up all sorts of bugs likes colds, tummy bugs, head lice etc and it is much the same when dogs meet in a park, daycare, kennels and even at the vets. My priority is for the care and safety of all of your dogs and whilst I can keep a strict cleaning regime there are going to be dogs who show no symptoms but can be carrying it and nobody will know. Even when the dog is vaccinated they can still get it but generally not as bad.
All I ask from you is to help me and our dogs by checking for these symptoms and refraining from bringing your dog to us or having walks until your vet says they are clear to do so.
Many thanks Val.

🚨🏡 ADOPTION POST 🏡🚨

Could you be Deano's forever home?

Deano is a 10 year old sprocker now being fostered in Midlothian after his adoption didn't work out.

He is a very active lad, and needs a new home where his adopter will be happy to continue working on his training around meeting other dogs, he's coming on leaps and bounds with this in his foster home and with support from our behaviourist.

Head over to the website using the link below to find out more about Deano and information on how to apply.

Please don't message the page regarding adopting Deano, the team will be unable to reply.

A grim and rainy morning soon turned into a glorious afternoon. Time enough to send the dogs home clean and dry 😁🐾🐾☀️

Our chefs have got a treat for you this weekend! They have prepared some delicious beef feather blade, cooked it with our purple moose ‘dark side’ ale and served it with some buttery cabbage, mustard mash and a caramelised onion with a beef fat fennel seed crumb. Come and try for yourself! (While it lasts)

Another fun packed day with these lovely’s.😁🐾🐾

Not much sunshine today but still a fabulous bunch of dogs. All sat nicely then I say toy time and it’s a race to the stable to get them 😁🐾🐾
I’ve added another picture because little Willow was hiding in the first pic behind Harvey. Sorry Shona and Craig 😁

About

Is your dog high energy? A working breed? Are you constantly busy and have little time? Behavioural Problems?

All to often for many dogs, a walk around the block just isn't enough to keep your dog mentally and physically happy and healthy. Most breeds of dogs will benefit from running as long as the dog is fit and healthy and at least 12-18 months old, I recommend you consult your vet for advice first. I also fast paced walks that provide lower impact exercise for the very young or the older dogs that cannot maintain a reasonable running pace. For dogs that prefer an easy stroll, or already receive their daily exercise, but require toilet breaks may benefit from a leisurely walk.

I am Val Grimes and I live in Llandudno Junction. I have worked and owned horses and dogs most of my life. I currently own 2 black Labradors (Badger and Ivy) and 2 African grey parrots. I have spent the last 2 years studying Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma and successfully completed and passed with a merit grade in December 2017. I ran a successful home boarding, dog walking and running business up until 2009 in Warrington but then moved to North Wales where I have spent that time bringing up my young children. I now want to continue my passion and use the knowledge I have gained from experience and study to provide a reliable, friendly and flexible service. I am also DBS checked and fully insured. Some breeds of dogs require more than just a walk and I find running is a great option for high energy dogs or dogs lacking in confidence.
