Working with high drive dogs such as year old GSD (yes he'll probably get bigger!) Jager here who's behaviour can come over as boisterous or inappropriate, you have to meet the dogs requirements & needs. With high drive dogs tapping into that prey & play druve is essential to give them a appropriate outlet. Sadly I didn't get a video of him early in the session really pulling, jumping, chasing & ragging the flirt pole. Here does demonstrate how well that worked as we used that drive & energy and Jager was tired but also relaxed & satisfied.

Luna is a lovely German Shepherd owned by a wonderful older couple. She had lead walking issues which caused issues as she's a big powerful dog & one of her owners has rheumatic issues meaning a real struggle when going on walks. Luna also has some reasonably severe reactivity issues with other dogs. You MUST fix lead walking anyway to deal with reactivity as you won't effectively address it with an anxious, over stimulated dog that pulls.

After just a few sessions I'm happy to report we've dealt with the lead pulling & Luna now walks beautifully on a loose lead. She even walks well with no lead & follows the walker well. We have now made a start on the reactivity & it's our mission to address this & make walks happier for Luna and her owners in all aspects.

If your reactive or lead pulling dog has similar issues, lead walks aren't the pleasure they should be or any other problems (hyperactivity, separation anxiety, excess barking, attention seeking, pupppy training/socialisation needs, recall etc) then contact dog behaviour expert Graham now on 07825 171319 or via Wiggle Waggle with messenger to book the help you & your beloved best friend deserve. fans

Wiggle Waggle top tip: For the first 4 or 5 months don't worry about training beyond "Sit" & "Look". All you need at that stage is engagement & the most simple command. Further obedience training can be dealt with after that point. Socialisation (this doesn't mean unlimited exposure to lots of dogs) is more important, hand feed your dog outside portions of it's meal whilst it sees Traffic, the postman, cats, workmen with noisy tools, dustbins, lawnmowers etc etc at a safe distance that they feel comfortable with, then goes to the beach, park, shops, river, woods etc All controlled & positive exposure. All MUCH more important in the context of that dogs development. Also by the time they're 6 months old, ALL dogs should be muzzle trained. In that period definitely do NOT try to teach tricks, also if anyone has taught your dog "paw" .... why?? 🐕🐕 fans

Meet Cali & Willow. They are our wonderful Foster dogs who came to us after circumstances in their previous home meant they needed to sadly move on.

The reports were as a first foster these were a lovely introduction as they were without behavioural issues. Often people associate aggression & reactivity as key behaviour issues & of course they are and these girls certainly have neither. However I quickly found hyperactivity, noise sensitivity, poor lead walking, lack of boundaries, questionable obedience, territorial issues with each other, opportunistic food stealing were amongst the issues these girls DID have.

So it's for me to address these & believe me, they're well worth it as they're incredibly giving & loving dogs. Training is well underway and improvements quickly evident. What this has shown me is that they're very many such wonderful lovely dogs looking to give & receive love and find their happy future & forever home. It's a clear indicator towards the merits of looking to rescues rather than necessarily buying a puppy (and believe me puppies are incredibly hard work not for people without sufficient time & patience).

The good news is people like me out there to help address any issues you may inherit with your rescue. I've helped countless people & their beautiful rescue dogs already. Taking on a dog from rescue shouldn't be daunting & the reputable ones do a thorough check to ensure your lifestyle & home is suitable for the dog & fosters like me will be giving valuable & telling feedback on the dogs needs & what's right. If your dog is rescue or not and has similar issues as Cali and Willow, if you need help with hyperactivity, separation anxiety, excess barking, attention seeking, pupppy training/socialisation needs, recall, reactivity, lead work etc then contact dog behaviour expert Graham now on 07825 171319 or via Wiggle Waggle with messenger to book the help you & your beloved best friend deserve. fans

Cherish & treasure each and every day you have with your wonderful dog. Today we lost our beloved boy Leo after a recent decline in health. So yes make sure they're well trained, happy and well adjusted, but don't take them for granted, value your time & give as much as you get from them 🙏🐕

Meet Bugs. Bugs is a Staffy and she's incredibly reactive. Her reactivity has been present years & increased having been attacked by other dogs more than once. She's a lovely dog with amazing character but scared and with an long ingrained method of dealing with encounters with other dogs.

Fixing reactivity in some dogs can be quick & easy. I've dealt with dogs where changing the owners energy, disposition, technique, lead control has worked. Ditto gaining the dogs trust, focus & engagement quickly had meant within a session or two the problem is solved. Then there's the Bugs of this world where doing just one or two aspects isn't enough & the issue is deep and multifaceted. We've been working with her for a long time, made significant improvements. Then came a regression & you need to know WHY this occurred & address it. We did, her owners techniques are better than ever, Bugs is back on track & even chooses to deflect from other dogs now, but it means numerous things all have to be in place to succeed.

If your reactive dog has similar issues, lead walks aren't the pleasure they should be or any other problems (hyperactivity, separation anxiety, excess barking, attention seeking, pupppy training/socialisation needs, recall etc) then contact dog behaviour expert Graham now on 07825 171319 or via Wiggle Waggle with messenger to book the help you & your beloved best friend deserve. fans
