Hi everyone! We were due to start back with lessons today 6th January.

Unfortunately due to this cold spell our arena is frozen solid.. with the weather forecast for the week being so cold it’s looking like it will be next Monday the 13th before lessons will resume!

So for now we will see you all next week. If the weather changes and arena becomes rideable I will let you all know as soon as I do!

Hey! Another winter day!! 🧊

Unfortunately our arena is completely frozen yet again🙁
So unable to go ahead with riding sessions ..

If anyone would like to come and do a stable management session we will be doing one 5.30-6.30pm £20pp

Session will be split by knowledge ability so is suitable for everyone! ☺️
Including grooming, picking out feet, tacking up.
Show prep, boots/Rugging up.

Please give us a wee pm to let us know if you would like to come so I have rough numbers ☺️

What is it?
A course of jumps consisting of both show jumping and cross country fences

Who can do it?
Suitable for our Novice and experienced riders that are jumping 60cm+

✂️It’s that time of year again✂️

Some of the ponies have began to get their winter makeovers! 🦄

🐴Why do we clip our ponies?🐴

As the days become shorter and colder 🥶 horses and ponies begin to produce thick winter coats.
These winter coats are designed to keep the horse warm during the colder months, So with our ponies working and having heavier coats coming through they can become sweaty and hot 🥵
We clip the ponies to help reduce any sweat or over heating and to help make it more manageable to care for them! When the ponies get sweaty they can have a sponge off and will dry nice and quickly 🧽 rather than having a heavy wet coat for a couple hours in the cold!

Depending on the ponies workload depends on how they are clipped and how much hair is taken off ✂️

😄 So keep an eye over the next few weeks for the ponies new hair dos and cosy rugs 🥰
