We have a fabulous group of metal Detectorists out with us this morning. The boys were thrilled to be given a penny from 1928.
We are heading out for the rest of the day so won’t be able to catch up on messages until this evening xx

Misty is getting a warm bath and a makeover on Monday and we will be heading to a local arena hire next week with Kiera

Storm and Finny have found their new families 🥰

Looking forward to welcoming Tequila next week

And we have a beautiful jenny donkey joining us next weekend 🫏
She has been used for therapy visits and weddings
Not officially broken to ride but has had children on her ba****ck

It has been a difficult time with such awful weather but we are headed in the right direction towards Spring. All us horsey people want is some dry weather and NO MUD!!! 😂

This beautiful mare is joining us next week on behalf of her owner

Approx 15.3hh 6yr old standardbred
Rides and drives

Tequila is a lovely natured mare
Good to do in all ways
Has mainly driven but is safe and sane under saddle

She did have a hock injury (in the field) Sept 23 but had the all clear and signed off by vet. Doesn’t cause her any problems at all

We can’t wait to get to know her

Storm 16.2HH 10yr old Irish draught (not registered) 

He is being offered from the field, so to speak, as he needs started from scratch. He needs to be in a long-term home where he can build his confidence before being ridden

Storms current owner is a wonderful lady who has tried her very best with him. She bought him knowing he could be a bit tense and have a reaction when mounted. She has had him x-rayed had her physio, and saddle has been checked

She has done some connection training, lots of ground work and long reining with him which he seemed to really enjoy

She was able to mount him with someone on the ground beside him, and enjoyed hacks out on him with her children on their ponies, however didn’t always have someone on hand when mounting, and with lots of gateways on her hacks it was proving tricky, hence the reason he is with us on her behalf to try and find him the right home

Previous owner before current, viewed him before she bought him and he was absolutely great, she had him vetted and all good, when she brought him home that’s when the mounting issues began 

She sent him on schooling livery for 3 weeks, no issues when mounting, schooled nicely, popped SJ’s and was out on their XC course

When he returned home he reverted back to his mounting issues

(She sold to current owner with full disclosure)

Storm had my physio check him over after he arrived and found some tight spots/muscle spasms but no pain from saddle etc

He is great to tack up, no face pulling, no tension, totally relaxed
We were gentle and relaxed when mounting, with someone on the ground distracting him with treats, however he had a big reaction and unseated his rider

After numerous conversations with his owner and trying to find out his past (he was originally from Ireland but nothing else known) We feel he needs a home where he can settle, feel secure and relaxed and start from scratch

I have lots of videos of him being ridden and mounted with no reaction which I will share with GENUINE enquirers only
His owner is wracked with guilt but has gone as far as she can with him
She has been fully open and honest and has his best interests at heart so PLEASE no negative comments

No he hasn’t been scoped for ulcers however he was at vets for xrays and this wasn’t suggested after describing his behaviour (xrays available)

He is 2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ but offers considered to the right home

Kiera was fab today and loved a ride out. She can be wary on the ground until she knows you but not an ounce of badness in her.

Broken in then had a foal (weaned approx 4mths ago)

Kiera was super under saddle today bearing in mind she has had over a year off! I joined Josie on a ride out today with Zeus our great dane and as usual Yogurt the cat tagged along too. Watch at the end when she decided to randomly attack Zeus 🙈🫣
