Shelby and the Muddy Puddle. A lengthy shower was necessary after this little escapade.😱🤣

We welcomed Shelby to the Whippet House on Friday and he and Charlie enjoyed a wonderful sunny walk at Cadsonbury, through the woods, up to the summit, and then in the field.
Facebook won’t let me post video and photos together, so the clip of his fun in the mud will follow this post.

One last walk with Daphne, along the Tamar this time: trees, fresh, flowing water, peace and quiet - what more could anyone want, except, perhaps, the added bonus of an encounter with handsome Blue, a gorgeous Whippet x Bedlington.
It’s been lovely having you, Daphne; bye-bye until next time.🥲😘❤️

Back to Polborder Woods, with all our tootsies setting the very muddy scene. No rain, though, and lots of smells to keep Whippety noses keen, intrigued, and happy. We found a very poorly pheasant, too, which added a bit of spice to the general ambience.

Well… this is how we roll at the Whippet House now. Neither Whippet wants to sleep in the big bed with me, they prefer to snuggle together on their own bed on the floor. Yay! 🤫🥱😴

A wet and muddy mooch at Cotehele on Monday was followed by yet another trip to Cadsonbury yesterday, where the sun shone and we sat on the soft, springy, clean, dry grass surrounded by mats of spring violets.
Then farewell - or rather au revoir - to dear little Maisie, a worthy bearer of the title of Honorary Whippet. She’s welcome back any time.

More of our adventures in Saltash and farther afield: all of us a-visiting; Charlie pretending he can fit into Maisie’s bed; Daphne on a solo outing in Coombe Woods, where the wild garlic is about to burst forth and carpet the ground; and a *very* windy visit to Cadsonbury on a grey, but dry day

Photo dump from the last couple of days, when we went to Cotehele, had two leisurely strolls along the foreshore to Saltmill, and also welcomed teenytiny Maisie back. This little Chorkie, who’s an old friend of the Whippet House, will be an honorary Whippet for the duration of her stay.

Guest number two arrived on Sunday: darling Daphne, another pretty blue girlfriend for Charlie. We went to Cadsonbury for fresh air and zoomies, finishing off with a brief visit to the Lynher below. Such a lovely day we had.

One little Whippet enjoyed a lovely cool saunter through the woods and along the Lynher yesterday. It was so peaceful. We took our time and made the most of it.
