I first met Lesley & Joe and their gorgeous 4 year old cocker spaniel, Sparky in 2016. I had put a post on a cocker spaniel page, to say that I was giving up the corporate world, for a more sedate life, walking dogs. Lesley replied within minutes, that she lived nearby and would love to meet me, so I could walk her dog. More than 8 years later, I’ve walked him, loved him and cared for him as if he were my own and I am proud to call Lesley a friend. He hasn’t been coming on walks for the last couple of weeks because he wasn’t well and I visited him last week, as he had sadly taken a turn for the worst. Unfortunately, yesterday was the day I was dreading and he sadly died, aged 13. He was everything to his family, but also to me. I can’t imagine never seeing him again, but I’ll always love him and I’ll never forget him.

We have been made aware of a microchip scam that has been circulating recently. An email will come from a company called PETCHIP and they will have all of the information that is registered on your chip, including the chip number and your name and contact information, however, this is NOT a legitimate company or request. If you receive one of these emails, please do not click on the link or provide any bank information and please report this to your microchip company.

Flood update.
Chippenham town centre is unpassable due to the river Avon bursting its banks.
The Bridge centre roundabout is flooded and also unpassable.

Lacock The Wharf, bridge flooded.

Sutton Benger to Christian Malford flooded and blocked by abandoned vehicles.

Holt to BOA flooded and unpassable.

B3109 Corsham to BOA closed from Fiveways junction.

Avenue La Fleche is also flooded.

Please be careful on the A350 Bumpers Farm due to surface water, but this is passable.

Inspector Pete Foster said: "We would urge anyone who is trying to travel around Chippenham today to take extra caution. Do not try to travel on roads that have been closed or through flood water.

"Most minor roads have deep standing water so please drive carefully."

Please can ask that if you’re working from home tomorrow, you don’t book walks in. Everywhere is flooded the fields will be a nightmare. Tomorrow is mostly sunny, so Tuesday will be fine. Thank you

With the cost of living crisis not improving, I would ask that this year, you please all save your money instead of buying me gifts. The fact you choose me to walk your precious four legged friends is more than enough.

A very emotional farewell to this very gorgeous boy. I’ve been walking him for most of his life and I love him to bits. Wishing Rayna, Andre, Jamie and Benjie lots of luck and love as they begin a new chapter in Somerset 🐾🏠❤️😢

**UPDATE: Sadly despite the best efforts of the vets Nelly deteriorated rapidly through the night and crossed rainbow bridge 🌈. Very sad news for us all, RIP Nelly**

**URGENT APPEAL**

We are trying to locate the owners of this dog, she has been involved in an RTA on the A350 Chippenham. She is currently under the care of our vets and is being stabilised and having further investigations into her injuries. Anyone with information please contact us by emailing [email protected]

Really sad today, as I had to say goodbye to the gorgeous Leo & Lottie. I love these two so much and they make me laugh every day with their crazy antics. They are off with their lovely family, Paul & Jo Holder to pastures new in Berkshire. Good luck to you all and I’ll look forward to keeping up with their adventures on Facebook 🐾🐾❤️❤️🐾🐾.
