STOP walking your dogs in this heat

I have seen far too many dog owners walking round cosby yarn bomb today with temperatures of 32 degrees

Even at temperatures as low as 20°C (70°F) dogs are at risk of heat stroke.

The pavement at 32 degrees would be 63 degrees !!!!!!!

Could u walk barefoot on that - an egg can fry in five minutes at 55C while skin destruction can occur in just one minute at 52C !!!

At home -

Most people are not aware but even Artificial grass can reach temperatures of almost 50C

Go out early if u must walk your dog - a dog won’t die from missing a walk !

It’s 07:30am and 17c we are off out now a perfect time to start the day ❤️

🤔 Take a second to think! 💡

If your dog is off lead and someone is walking towards you with a dog on lead, why do you think that’s happening?

🤔 Could there be a reason for that dog to be on lead??

Here’s a few reasons:
🐾The owner doesn’t wish for other dogs to meet heir
dog.
🐾They are training.
🐾The dog has poor recall.
🐾The dog is anxious, dog/people aggressive.
🐾They scrounge for treats.
🐾They eat/roll in items on the floor.
🐾They want to calm their dogs before going home or
in a car.

There’s loads of reasons!

If you don’t want your dog to be lunge at, growled or snarled at, have a guardian say put your dog on lead or express some chosen words! Then put your dog on lead for the few seconds that they pass those dogs! 👏🏻

🗣️Not shout… my dog is friendly, you’ve got your hands full, just stand and watch it happen or think it’ll be ok! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Please be curious to why their dogs are on lead… Look after your dog and get them out of harms way.

Be your dogs advocate and don’t point the blame onto someone who is in control of their dog!
