Build a Bond dog training is dedicated to helping owners and their dogs. For this reason we offer a range of different services from dog training to pet sitting. Over the last few years with all your support we have now got a small like-minded team that are here to help. Adrian- Owner of Build a Bond
Over the last 16 years I have been working with dogs, my passion has always been training dogs and

educating people to ensure they have the best possible life. I currently own my energetic rescue dog called AJ he is a staffie cross lurcher and Jodie who is a Sharpei cross who are simply just pet dogs who we love and take care of. In my very limited spare time I teach them a variety of tricks and other basic training. I am used to be a professional dog trainer currently employed full time at Dogs trust Loughborough rehoming charity. On a daily basis, I would encounter a wide variety of dogs with multiple behavioural problems. Witnessing a dogs transformation training and working alongside owners is an incredibly rewarding experience. I decided to start up Build a Bond dog training as a way to help educate more owners and help prevent dogs from ending up in rescue.

Of course you know about the daycare centre itself but did you know we also offer a pick up and drop off service for your dogs when they attend 🚕

This service is available in the morning between 8am - 9:30am

In the afternoon between 4pm - 6pm 🕥

INTRODUCING….

Build a Bond Puppy School📚

This is a brand new service we are going to offer during term time only!!!

Every Monday during that term, you bring your puppy to our daycare centre and we will do training with them! 🐾

We work on all puppy basics e.g. sit, down, wait, loose lead walking to start you off in the best way! We will send you videos on how we teach this so you can continue this at home in the same way!

Included in this service you will get:
1 school day a week 🐶
Fun homework to continue training🐶
Ongoing support throughout🐶
1-2-1 session towards the end of the term 🐶
Graduation day to celebrate your pup finishing the training🐶

🐾Puppy Grooming🐾

It is so important that your puppy gets introduced to grooming as early as possible! Yogi here is only 4 months old and had his first puppy groom last week! ❤️

He has previously had a half an hour session in the grooming room to introduce him to all the equipment in a positive way with lots of treats and cuddles involved 🐶here at build a bond we offer these initial sessions for free! 🩵

We then recommend that they have a puppy groom including:
🐾Bath
🐾Blowdry
🐾 Trim around feet, eyes and sanitary areas

What we do at daycare ?

Walks - we take all your pups out at-least once a day on a lovely walk down the river 🌊

Play and socialise - Of course the bigger part of the daycare is just letting dogs be dogs 🐶
Letting them play and run around with eachother whilst also learning of each-others personality’s and boundaries 🥰

Enrichment - we set up enrichment courses for the dogs that are interested in treats 🦴. Using their senses and enriching their brains 🧠

Training - we offer training daycare for those that need a little more of an in depth look at how to do certain training 🦮
We also do small bits of training with all the dogs throughout the day to keep them focused and engaged 🐾

Cuddles - of course whilst they’re here some dogs just like to sleep. After working with dogs for a long time our staff are all fully trained in dog cuddles 🤗
Meaning your pups will get just as much love in the centre as they do at home (maybe not but we like to think it’s close 🤞)

This little guy has been training with us for a few months. When first meeting he was anxious in lots of situations, reactive to dogs and barked in the house at lots of different noises and visitors in the home. Through a behaviour consultation and a few follow up sessions the pawrents have done an absolutely cracking job with him. Still a way to go with the dig reactivity around the streets but that is one of the final hurdles. Big well done to all of them! *video displaying his brilliant heelwork and calm walking.

Some people think all we do is SIT around and cuddle dogs all day, I wonder why 🤔

🦮Did you know….?🐕‍🦺 Every morning we take your puppers for a walk during daycare!!! Your dogs always get a walk whether that’s on their own or with some of their friends🐾 The more your dogs have a sniff, the more settled they are and we also love seeing them sniffing around🥰

It was a brilliant Saturday morning class today. Some good heelwork and self control skills practiced today. Also a big shout out to Bear + Pumkin + owners. Both of which are working on confidence around other dogs and can be reactive towards dogs but during the session today (and other classes) were able to build a relationship and had their first off lead play after class. Well done all and look foward to seeing everyone next week.

⭐️ 6 week Trick Challenge ⭐️ Week 6 - Put it all together, adding a trick of your choice to the end 😀 Watch our video for suggestions of tricks you could add. ⭐️ 6 week Trick Challenge ⭐️ Week 3 - Middle Middle can be a really fun trick for your dog! Aiming for your dog to go behind you to stand/sit between your legs, looking up at you 😍, we will then add moving forwards while in position. 6 Week Trick Challenge - Week 2 Heel This week we will be working on Heel. This will be Bridging the gap between 2 tricks but is a crucjal part of any heelwork to music routine.
