Pet Health Check – only £24.99!* 🩺

The festivities may be over, but your furry friends might still feel the effects! From gobbling goodies, to the excitement of visitors, the holiday season can take its toll.

💡Your pet can’t tell you what’s wrong, but we can:
☑️ Weight and body: That extra snacking, chilly weather and salty pavements can all add up!
☑️ Behaviour changes: The stress of changes in routine and noisy celebrations can affect your pet’s well-being.
☑️ Joints and mobility: Cold weather can affect mobility by making your pet’s joints stiff and painful.

Our expert veterinary nurses can spot and address any potential concerns early to ensure your pet starts the New Year healthy and happy! 🥳

Book a pet Health Check here: https://FindAHealthCheck.softr.app

*For well dog, cats and rabbits only. Please book a consultation if your pet is ill. Full T&Cs on the Offer page on the website.

💖🐶🐱 PET WELLNESS CHECKS🐱🐶💖

We're incredibly pleased and excited to announce that we're now offering wellness screenings for your senior (6 years and over) pets!

These checks are carried out by one of our lovely nurses and include:
🩺 Blood test to check kidney and liver functions, as well as provide a general health profile
🩺 Urine testing
🩺 Blood pressure reading
🩺 Full body examination by a registered veterinary nurse, including checking for any lumps and bumps
🩺 Oral health assessment and advice
🩺 Weight assessment and advice
🩺 Answer and address any general queries you may have about your pet's wellbeing

✨ All of the above costs just £85 - the standard price for a geriatric blood test is (from) £108 alone, so it's a big overall saving! ✨

(please note that this is for pets that aren't poorly or have pre-existing medical conditions - if this is the case, please book in for veterinary consultation)

If you would like to book in and gain an insight into your pet's overall health, give the clinic a call on 02476 602 564

💖 Meet Lady! 💖

Lady stayed with us at the clinic yesterday to be spayed by Ross. To keep her feeling safe Lady brought her teddy, Goldie, to keep her company.

As you can imagine this absolutely melted our hearts! ♥️🥹

Ross and our nursing team took great care of both Lady and Goldie, and had them both back home safe and sound at the end of the day🧸🐶💕

❤🩺 MEET THE STAFF MONDAY 🩺❤

We want our customers to know more about our staff, as well as being able to put some names to some faces! We'll be putting up a "meet the staff" post every Monday 😊

First up - Meet Julie, our Head Receptionist. Julie has worked at Bell and Partners for nearly 3 years and oversees not only our fantastic Reception team, but also behind-the-scenes administrative duties.
Outside of work Julie enjoys taking her 3 dogs Millie, Carter and Poppy away on caravan holidays across the country.

☀😎 SUMMER IS COMING! 😎☀

With the temperatures (hopefully) beginning to rise please remember that whilst we enjoy the hot weather, dogs struggle with heightened temperatures.

Please have a look at the below temperatures and bear it in mind when you are planning to walk your dog in the sunshine 🐶

Facebook is an amazing place where people can share their knowledge and information, however it can be a breeding ground for misinformation spreading.

After a long-running rumour regarding dogs and rapeseed plants, please see the attached information from the Veterinary Poisons Service, who confirm that it's not dangerous for dogs (yay!)

If you think that your dog may have been exposed to harmful substances, either natural or synthetic, please contact the clinic on 02476 602 564.

At this time of year, posts circulating around social media regarding rapeseed are shared extensively and understandably worry many dog owners. The posts usually state that rapeseed is highly poisonous to dogs, and can cause signs including haemolytic anaemia, blindness, damaged nervous system, digestive disorders and breathing problems.

These posts are misinformation. The signs mentioned are only seen in grazing animals, and most dogs remain asymptomatic after exposure to rapeseed. Dogs can develop gastrointestinal upset if they have ingested some of the plant, and there have been reports of skin reactions which resemble burns, but this is extremely rare and does not happen to every dog which comes into contact with it.

🐶🐱🐰🐹 VETERINARY NURSING AWARENESS MONTH🐹🐰🐱🐶

Our veterinary nursing team love their jobs and couldn't imagine doing anything else.

Not only do they get to live their dream jobs of working closely with animals, but they have opportunities to develop their careers and knowledge further both within and outside of the veterinary practice.

🐶💖 BELL AND PARTNERS CASE 💖🐶

Meet Poppy - she's a cocker spaniel who belongs to our receptionist, Sam. Some of you may recognise Poppy as she regularly appears on Reception and is a very social pup - she's become our unofficial mascot!

Poppy developed a lump on her front leg which Ross advised to have removed. Sam brought Poppy into the practice for her operation, where she received copious amounts of love, fuss and attention from the staff. After Ross completed the operation (which was a great success!) we fitted Poppy with a fancy new outfit, so she not only looked very fashionable but prevented her her nibbling her stitches.

Since her operation Poppy has made a full recovery and is back to welcoming our clients as part of our reception team!

🐶💖 STAFF PETS SPAYED BY ROSS 💖🐶

One big perk of working at Bell and Partners is having Ross treat our pets. Over the last year Ross has spayed THREE of our staff pets: Nelly the Working Cocker Spaniel; Luna the German Shepherd and Poppy the Miniature Dachshund.

Our staff massively appreciate Ross's dedication and care for our pets, as we're sure his clients over the years are as well - THANK YOU ROSS! 💖🐶💖

🐱 KITTEN SEASON 🐱

No one can deny that kittens are extremely cute, however...

It's that time of year when rescue centres are full to the brim with kittens and pregnant cats, meaning there's less space for sick, injured and abandoned cats. It's so important to ensure that your pet cats are neutered to prevent the creation/growth of cat colonies, as well as maintaining their own general health.

If you would like information about neutering please call the clinic on 02476 602 564.

There are numerous charities in Coventry that carry out fantastic work for stray and feral cats - if you think you could lend a helping hand through volunteering or fostering, or you have found a cat that is need, please reach out to them.
