Ruby is our sweet girl who has been with us for 3 months now and has sadly had no interest from potential adopters.

⭐Some fun facts about Ruby⭐:

-Ruby is 7 years old
-She is believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossed with a Rhodesian Ridgeback
-She has previously lived with another dog so could live with a dog in her future home
-She is a loving dog who can live with kids aged `7+
-Ruby is an active girl who loves her walks
-One of her favourite things is playing with her toys

We have some nice new sets of clothing, although we will be selling them, we want to help the charities we work with… We are going to gift some sets to Coventry Canley Community food bank, Turning Point, salvation army harnel Lane, Coventry Haven, Women’s Refuge. 🥳Adoption Update🥳

It's been two years since Trevor was adopted from our centre and his family have just celebrated his adoption anniversary...

'I just thought I’d send a quick update on Trevor's 2 year adoption anniversary!

He is the funniest dog we’ve ever met - and still believes himself to be the size of a chihuahua so spends most of his time on our lap. He is absolutely full of character and makes us laugh out loud all the time! We can’t believe how quickly the last 2 years have gone, and we are all so grateful to have found each other.'

All the staff at our centre love receiving updates about animals who have been adopted and this is just another example of one of those happy endings!!

🍁🍂 Jax 🍂🍁

Jax is a sweet independent lad who came into us via inspector through no fault of his own. Jax is looking for a fairly active home that can offer him lots of mental stimulation and places to explore. He may be slightly older and have a few grey hairs but he still loves to run around and play with his toys. He will need a private and secure garden with 6ft fencing that he can spend time relaxing and playing in when not out on adventures. Jax would need to be the only animal in the home and would benefit from further positive reward based socialisation, training and distraction work when out on walks. He could live with children 10 years and over that are used to dogs. Can you offer him his forever home?

Buddy, our handsome looking boy, came into our care via inspector through no fault of his own. He is a unique looking canine with some very exotic and funky features who adores fuss and attention. He will require a private and secure garden with 6ft fencing all around so he can burn off all his energy. He will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and socialisation in all areas. Buddy could potentially live with a well matched canine or feline friend given slow introduction. It's coming to the end of Adopt-ober and we can't believe that Caramel hasn't found her forever home yet!

This gorgeous girl is looking for a home with children aged 10+ who can give her space when needed.

Although excitable she can be nervous to begin with so new owners will need to give her time and space to adapt to her new home.

Caramel would like to be the only animal in the home but would love human company.

She could be left for short periods of time, gradually increasing this at a pace she is comfortable with.

Today we are celebrating all of our black dogs who have yet to find their furrever homes. As well as black cats, black dogs get a bad reputation of being associated with 'bad luck' or 'evil' but we are here to prove otherwise. We think they would all make the most perfect pets and cannot see why they have not had any applications yet as we don't think they're spooky or scary at all!

👅Its Tongue out Tuesday with Troy 👅

Troy is our fabulous friend who is looking for a home with kids aged 12+ and potentially a well matched canine friend. 🐾

He would like his own private and secure garden with 6ft fencing. 🏡

He could be left alone for 4 hours at a time, gradually building this up if needed. ⏰

Unfortunately Troy would be unable to live with cats. 🐱

National Black Cat Day🐈‍⬛

Meet The Vivienne…
She is the most gorgeous girly with the silkiest of coats and a pop of green in her eyes. We tend to struggle with black cats in our care as they have unfairly developed a negative reputation as being ‘unlucky’ or linked with the ‘evil’. We can most definitely inform you that this is never the case and infact, black cats have one of the best personalities and natures… like our Vivienne! Although she does have a little white spot on her chest she is still marjoritly black. She would love a home with plenty of fuss and attention, especially when she will have to be the only animal in the household! Meet Shirley 💙

Shirley is our fluffy little lady, she is really struggling with cattery life and has been here for 163 days now. Shirley is quite a nervous cat and will need a family who can give some time to adjust to her new home. She would benefit from ongoing socialisation and would need to be in an adult only household. Shirley is looking for her forever home but would also Benefit from a foster home until she can find her forever home if you are unable to adopt her.

Pearl is our beautiful one-eyed wonder who came into us via inspector due to overcrowding in her previous home. Unfortunately before she came into our care Pearl suffered injuries to one of her eyes and when she came into our centre the decision was made to remove her eye for her own comfort. This gorgeous girl can live with other dogs and children aged 5+ in the home who are used to bouncier dogs. Unfortunately Pearl would be unable to live with a cat or any other small animals. She will need ongoing positive reinforcement training as well as teaching that its okay to be left alone for short periods of time, doing this at a pace that she is comfortable with. This pretty pooch will require her own private and secure garden with 5ft fencing.

Meet Glourious Gubbo💅 Gubbo is our BFG at the Coventry RSPCA. He is 100% a staff favourite. He is a cheeky chap who is great for big cuddles and lots of enjoyment, despite his clumsiness! He could live with well matched canine friends in his new home. He can be left alone for short periods of time gradually increasing at a pace he is comfortable with. He will need plenty of mental stimulation as well as his exercise. He requires a secure and private garden with 6ft fences he can relax and play in. He can live with children 14 years and over that are used to big boisterous dogs and understand they need space at times, this could potentially be lowered slightly depending on experience. Our Story

The RSPCA Coventry and District Branch is an independant branch of the National RSPCA which receives no funding from the lottery or government. The Branch which is run by volunteers elected each year runs the Coventry & District animal centre on Coundon Wedge Drive in Coventry. The centre takes in, rehabilitates and rehomes over a 600 animals every year. The Branch currently has four charity shops in Coventry to help cover the massive running costs of the branch. We need your support in finding new homes for animals, raising money to pay for the care and educating others in responsible pet ownership.
