When Rose, the lovely Border Collie, first came to us, even the sound of the dryer was too much for her. We had to dry her with towels because she was so scared. But we knew we could help her.

Through patience, care, and desensitisation, we worked with Rose to build her confidence. It wasn’t an overnight change—it took time, love, and dedication. But today, for the first time ever, Rose had her full groom—wash, dry, and all! She handled it brilliantly and walked out of our salon with her head held high, looking and feeling amazing.

Seeing a dog go from being fearful to thriving in our grooming room is why we do what we do. Every dog deserves to feel safe and cared for, and we always take the time to make grooming a positive experience.

Well done, Rose—you’ve made us so proud! ❤️

🐾 𝐒𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐢 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐟, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐦𝐬𝐤𝐲! 🐾

This little fluffball strutted into The Dog Lounge with his super thick coat and even thicker personality! Wolf is one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever had the pleasure of grooming—he knew exactly how to tell us when he was done with our shenanigans.

✨ 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒉? 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒆. 𝑩𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉? 𝑻𝒐𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆. 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒘-𝒅𝒓𝒚? 𝑶𝒌𝒂𝒚, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰’𝒎 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒂 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. ✨

His gentle nature and pure sass kept us on our toes the whole time. One moment, he’d melt our hearts with his sweetness, and the next, he’d give us that look—you know, the one that says, “I’m the boss here, humans.”

We’ll definitely remember this cheeky little guy for a long time. Thanks for keeping it interesting, Wolf—you’ve left pawprints on our hearts (and fur everywhere else)! 🐶❤️

You might remember Stan, the adorable Cockerpoo puppy from our puppy introduction video. Well, today he came back for his very first grown-up haircut! 🐾✂️

We kept his look sweet and playful to reflect his puppy-like charm. Because Stan started grooming with us from such a young age, he’s calm, confident, and stress-free during his visits—something we love to see!

Early grooming introductions are so important. They help your dog feel at ease and make the process easier for everyone in the long run. We feel so lucky to watch Stan grow and to share this journey with him and his wonderful parents. 💕

Meet Lenny, today’s star at The Dog Lounge! This charming Labrador is so well-mannered, he even gives us his paw for nail trims like a true professional. Honestly, we think he’s better trained than some of us humans!

We had such a great time giving Lenny a pamper session—he was calm, cooperative, and an all-around joy to groom. Check out the video to see him in action—you might just pick up a few tips for training your own pup!

Many people believe shorthaired dogs don’t need grooming—but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Even though they don’t have long, flowing coats, breeds like English Bulldogs, Boxers, and Pugs still benefit hugely from regular grooming.

Take a look at the gorgeous Ethel, an English Bulldog who visited us at The Dog Lounge. After her session, we collected a mountain of loose hair—proof of how much she needed her groom! 🐕✨

Here’s why grooming is essential for shorthaired breeds:

But we knew we could help her. Through patience, care, and desensitisation, we worked with Rose to build her confidence. It wasn’t an overnight change—it took time, love, and dedication. But today, for the first time ever, Rose had her full groom—wash, dry, and all! She handled it brilliantly and walked out of our salon with her head held high, looking and feeling amazing. Seeing a dog go from being fearful to thriving in our grooming room is why we do what we do. Every dog deserves to feel safe and cared for, and we always take the time to make grooming a positive experience.
