We have been owned by Devon Rex since 1991 and have enjoyed their wonderful companionship ever since. They are a wonderfully funny, quirky, active and fun loving breed with beautiful curly coats. All the girls we have here have been born at Maystar and most are Champion or Grand Champion winners. Just look how happy he is cuddling his human. He is such a funny, naughty, happy boy who gives so much in return.

He is so well and enjoys playing hard with his many toys he has been spoilt with. It gives me great pleasure to know he is 100% happier not being a stud cat. This is a better life for him.

Thank you to his foster Mummy for allowing him to be the cat he should have been. ❤️🧡

LILLIBET UPDATE - warning: excess fur alert.
Bitty has successfully been taking 5mg of steroid for the last six weeks for her Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome (FHS).It has made so many improvements to her personality and her FUR!!!

Why is her fur growing back? Well, when your body is super itchy and irritated by tingly nerve endings and you can't stop overwashing, itching and flicking and pulling your fur out by attacking your tail and bum, hair doesn't get much time to grow.

It's like a small miracle 'PJs for winter'. Go Bitty Bee. We love you daft girl.

EROS UPDATE
It's been a really long few months watching this young man recover from an IBD attack.

He is currently on steroid reduction of 5mg (started at 7.5mg) Vet Sally wanted 2mths at 5mg as his intestines are still inflamed. He has Famotadine twice daily and Metoclopromide on a reduction once a day dose of 0.5ml.

His symptoms have only been vomitting, I feel lucky really as the other end is solid.

He has been showing bigger improvements this week, so the Specific intestinal food is also making an impact.

One big change is his eyes, the haws have finally gone back and he is a sort of hot pink colour again. He is also interested in the outside world, which he couldn't care less about before, only sleeping in hot places.

Long may it continue. Vet Sally wants an update mid month, so I will attach a few pics of him too.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, PMs, and questions about him all of which came from the MewsLetter. He is certainly perky today!

Our Story

Maystar Devon Rex is a British cattery based in Coventry, West Midlands. We have ten cats living with us in our home. Faith, Lillibet, Flaire, Viktori, Pearl, Tyga, Robyn, SaBreena, Ikon and his son Magnus Rex. We pride ourselves on healthy, happy cats and kittens and are part of the GCCF Accredited Breeders Scheme as well as TICA registered. With a Diploma in Feline Behaviour and Pshychology we have the tools to keep our Pride happy. We run a waiting list for kittens and are happy to talk about our cats and are dedicated to getting our kittens to the right homes.
