We have been owned by Devon Rex since 1991 and have enjoyed their wonderful companionship ever since. They are a wonderfully funny, quirky, active and fun loving breed with beautiful curly coats. All the girls we have here have been born at Maystar and most are Champion or Grand Champion winners. Meet Pidge, she is our resident wood pigeon and very sweet. She is about 3yrs old now and brings her children here each year. She is wary of the cats and each day waits for her food and spends the entire day with her kids, just mooching in our garden. These guys think it's great fun to stare at her. She is only just getting used to the big glass window in the stud house and she went all stiff because Eros was looking out, not one foot away. Brave girl.

🧡MEET SaBREENA

🐈 This is SaBreena, she is a typical red headed black smoke tortie bicolour. She loves to purr and despite being a loner she loves humans and especially loves her kittens. Sweet temperament and kind nature with fab coat.

🐈‍⬛️ Her Pedigree name is MAYSTAREX CZARINA OF RUSSIA was named after Prussian born Catherine The Great an incredibly powerful ruler of the Empire and SaBreena rules our little Empire here too.

🧡 We wanted to call her Bree, but she didn't like it, so we stretched it out to Sabrina which she liked a lot, so I altered the spelling to SaBreena keeping her original name alive.

😻 Her kitten list will be open to new families to fill in, Kittens take 2mths to grow in tummy and 3mths to grow for their new homes. The wait is worth it. link in comments.

HAPPY 9TH PURRDAY TO VIKTORI VEE
In 2016, this little cutie was born to Gracie. The only one, a singleton and the cutest darn thing I had ever seen. Gracie wasn't particularly fond of her newdaughter and dragged her around tearing her chest and throat. I looked after her and we just had this bond.

She is naughty, ridiculously jealous, very loving towards me and has a few health issues with her skin. She has Urticaria Pigmentosa and has Citerazine daily, steroid cream and a special diet of Rabbit. Any other protein sends her skin crazy. She can tolerate kangaroo in very small amounts.

She is my heart cat and gt gt gt grandmew to Xiomara. She would have made grand champion but had surgery for a pyometra on show day. It was a real shame, she only had one litter and every ounce of getting her pregnant was a fight. It wasn't meant to be!

PLUM PUDDING - FAMILY UPDATE
The beautiful, pretty and very special plum with he striking blue eyes, chocolate torty tabby coat. Today, she is helping her family unpack special marmalade and enjoying mooching about in the packaging.

Plum is sister to Magnus, Rex, Teddy & Bruno. They sure were a beautiful litter.

MAMBO'S HOUSE FINISHED

😺 Finally, the house is all watertight, cat proofed, electrics installed for heater, camera, water & lights. It's hopefully P*E proof too!

🐈‍⬛ Cupboard for bedding, food, cleaning equipment. Lots of space without too much bending over. Ikea did me proud with table lop, legs, cabinet, hooks & essentials.

🐈 Beds are made and look comfy. They are easy to wash too. The cat trees were from Market place. I F10 them both of them, jet washed, stripped and stained them black.

😻 Lots of space outside for ranging around and running on his wheel. Nothing is on the floor for easy cleaning.

🦋 Magic blind inside the glass will make it really easy to keep clean. Infact THIS was the first purchase, two massive panes of glass with blinds - £40. Absolute BARGAIN. The sheds were designed around it.

The outside is nearly done. It is catproofed inside & outside now as well as the new shelves I made from leftover flooring. Still have some more to work out and a skybridge and hopefully, a sail for him to lounge on or shade him whichever her preferrs

Our Story

Maystar Devon Rex is a British cattery based in Coventry, West Midlands. We have ten cats living with us in our home. Faith, Lillibet, Flaire, Viktori, Pearl, Tyga, Robyn, SaBreena, Ikon and his son Magnus Rex. We pride ourselves on healthy, happy cats and kittens and are part of the GCCF Accredited Breeders Scheme as well as TICA registered. With a Diploma in Feline Behaviour and Pshychology we have the tools to keep our Pride happy. We run a waiting list for kittens and are happy to talk about our cats and are dedicated to getting our kittens to the right homes.
