๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ WELSH TEAM NEWS ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟWe have had a wonderful week at the Welsh Home Pony International Show at David Broome Event Centre! Some wonderful jumping and rounds with lots of very valuable lessons learned and things to work onโฆ BUT, the best bit of the weekend is that Ffion Lloyd & C. Lloydโs Melrose Misty were picked as one of only FOUR combinations to make it onto the 148cms Debut Teqm and compete for our wonderful country ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ Ffion rode two tremendous rounds with just four faults for a pole in each round for her and her teammates to end up with a SILVER MEDAL ๐ฅ!! Huge thanks to the rest of Team Wales for the opportunities and camaraderie but the biggest thanks to our fellow #TeamLME supporters who made the journey to join us in supporting Ffion and Misty. Ffion only started riding at the age of 9yrs and spent the first couple of years terrified of trot - Just look at her now๐! Also a big thank you and congratulation to the Lloyd Family who have made this dream possible for Ffion by supporting her every step of the way and working with us to provide her with the best ponies to get where she wanted to get! Goal Achieved โ

Our #TeamLME Christmas Show 2023 was P H E N O M E N A L!!
Huge congratulations to all of our competitors who rode their socks off all evening - it was a pleasure to see everyone getting into the festive spirit ๐

Imogen, Leo and Dad, Dan, made the lengthy trip up to Wrexham on Sunday morning for Imogen to take part in their first Pony Race - and boy was it worth the trip!๐ฅ
Imogen was racing on behalf of Liege Manor Equestrian Centre Pony Club, affiliated with the Pony Racing Authority; for which Imogen & Leo have completed their Level 1, 2 & 3 Pony Racing Awards.๐ช๐ฝ
Leo was a surprise Christmas present for Imogen last year, sourced by Georgia and bought by Dan. Since then, Imogen has worked extremely hard to form the formidable partnership you see before you todayโฆ๐
A special mention to to Dad, Dan who has found himself with many new roles added to his repertoire almost overnight - Groom, Secretary/PA, Driver, Owner, Support Crew, to name but a few๐คช
Also a huge thank you, as always, to our fabulous team at home who keep Leo looking and feeling on top form to enable him to perform like this๐๐คฉ

Lloydโs Melrose Misty stepped up to 1.10m classes finishing the weekend with this cracking round to WIN ๐ฅ the Pony Foxhunter/1.10m Open having also had a WIN ๐ฅ in the Pony Newcomers/1m Open class. We have a rare opportunity to advertise some spaces in group lessons on a Tuesday & Wednesday evenings. They run on a weekly basis and can be booked regularly or ad-hoc, subject to availability.
These lessons are ideal for those who have or are looking to have their own horse/pony in future.
They can be attended on your own ponies, or ours!
๐ฆ Tuesday 4.15pm x2 Spaces - 45mins, off lead-rein in walk & trot, cantering assisted, 6yrs+.
๐ฆ Tuesday 5.00pm x3 Spaces - FORTNIGHTLY JUMPING 1hr, open order established walk, trot & canter unassisted with basic understanding of rules of school, intro/prelim dressage & jumping up to 60cms, 10yrs+. Ponies under 15hh.
๐ฆ Tuesday 6.00pm - up to 3 Spaces - FORTNIGHTLY JUMPING 1hr, 1hr, open order established walk, trot & canter unassisted with understanding of rules of school, basic lateral work, intro/prelim dressage & jumping up to 80cms, 12yrs+. Ponies under 15hh.
๐ฆ Wednesday 7.30pm - up to 3 Spaces - FORTNIGHTLY JUMPING 1hr, open order, well established in walk, trot & canter - Prelim/Novice Dressage level & 80cms and above jumping level, 13yrs+. Horses only.

As we delve into the colder temperatures, you may find that our Coaches decide that more riders need leading or assistance than they have through the Summer. This is totally normal!
Horses and Ponies are not machines, have their own minds and are affected by their surroundings. As such, as we go through Autumn and Winter all horses and ponies everywhere may be a little more excitable or cheekier than they are in Spring and Summer. This is to do with a change in temperature and weather conditions.
Some horses and ponies react more than others but we are lucky enough to know our ponies extremely well so can judge the situation with the necessary knowledge and understanding to see most (not all as theyโre live animals๐) things coming!
๐จ Please, please, please TRUST YOUR COACHES ๐จ They have both yours and the Equineโs best interests at heart and will take the action that they see fit.

Here is a combination that needs no introductionโฆ Ruby Edwards and Miss Fluttershy (Blida) showing here what a great partnership with a phenomenal pony can createโฆ.
Ruby is just 9 years old and has been jumping Blida for just over a year. This is Rubyโs first ever go at a 90cms course for just 4 faults and although we know thereโs much room for improvement (which weโre working on!) itโs such a pleasure to see these partnerships come together!
Rubyโs superstar pony was bought for her 3 years ago by her super supportive Nanny & Bamps and theyโve had their fair share of ups and downs due to Blida being so powerful BUT moments like these make all of it so worthwhile!
As always, Blida and Ruby both turned out beautifully by Rubyโs Mummy making this a real family effort - What a joy it is to be a part of such journeys๐ฅฐโค๏ธ #TeamLME #TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork #MakeYourDreamsYourReality
