❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌ Hemolytic Anemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

Urgent foster !!!

Desperately seeking Foster... 👀

We are looking for a foster home for Lurcher Bella so we can help a really kind young family who saved Bella from being on the streets after her owner died suddenly. Once in foster we can assess her further.

She is only a young lass, approximately 15 months old and we believe to be a greyhound/saluki.

She has had little to no training so is very giddy but is very eager to please.

She needs work on her house training but feel this will improve once she is given the opportunity to go for walks.

She is currently living with children (but is too giddy for very little ones).

She is said to be good with other dogs but this needs further assessment

Cats unknown

Please can anyone help us to get Bella into our care where we can get her registered at a vet to start her health checks and vaccinations, and gain a better idea of what her needs are.
We can only help cases like this if we can find foster homes.
Bella is such a sweet girl 💕

Brilliant collaboration with Wagology Dog Behaviour & Training. Buster showed some quite serious aggression towards me in our first meeting, and this was devastating for his owners as they were worried their only option would be euthanasia.
I spent a few hours with them and provided a Behaviour Modification Plan for their boy, which they followed to the letter. After a couple of months of them working with him supported by me we decided to do a meet, firstly with myself to see if he had progressed with his human aggression which he had and was happily muzzle off playing ball with me offlead.
I then brought in Lisa at Wagology with Maddie her beautiful Spaniel who has become a brilliant helper for Any Dog as a stooge. She’s paw perfect 🤩
This went fantastic with me handling Buster and Lisa Maddie we had a calm parallel walk in the first meeting.
Time to hand over the baton to Lisa for her to continue Busters education and wow look at him now!
Just shows what great owners and the right training can accomplish. Shout out to their vet Sian who has been fantastic throughout, good vets support behavioural modification.
Congratulations to Buster and the Devlin family you smashed it. And as always a pleasure to work with Wagology!

Age, human that is. The benefits of owning a dog as an elderly person are immense, loneliness is a huge factor in the progression of Dementia and exercise, is be it a trundle down the road a couple of times a day is key to bone strength and mobility.
No, I am not saying rush out and buy your Nan a puppy, that would be irresponsible, but there are so many elderly dogs in rescue who need a home and a companion who has the time to invest. Many rescues will happily pair you up with a "golden oldie" and in some cases fund the dogs medical costs for life.
Responsible rescue is never ageist! 👊

With storm Kathleen heading our way tomorrow and Sunday, please check gates and fences before letting your dogs out in your gardens.
Dogs can be spooked by high winds so if your dog is nervous please supervise them outside. A panicking dog can easily injure themselves trying to escape. Stay safe 💨

Pain teaches your dog nothing. Any Dog only practice force free reward based training.
For your dogs sake, avoid aversive trainers. It’s cruel and it doesn’t work.
