โ‰๏ธ DID YOU KNOW: a dog's forelimb is actually a free floating limb supported by muscle? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

๐Ÿฆด The red arrow in the picture below highlights the point where the scapula meets the humerus bone, forming the shoulder joint on the dog. When the strap of a harness crosses this point, it restricts extension of the limb and can lead to potential injury.

๐Ÿ“ฝ The video in the link below helps explain the importance of proper harness fit on a dog's body to allow full movement of the thoracic limb.

I will accept titre testing for boarding dogs and I dnt require you to have the kennel cough vaccine.

8 years they've been saying this. Immunology 101. Studies show vaccines for viruses don't wear off quick....at all (challenge studies core vaccines last for 7-9yrs). It was only ever a ruse of Big Pharma to get the vets to give them yearly. They simply wrote "studies show good for a year" on the back. And that was true, sort of. They simply tested them after a year! And with no adults apparently asking to see the supporting data, that was good enough to make these chemicals part of their annual health check. Now, if you want to keep that insurance or put them in kennels etc, buddy, you better play ball. Sure, where's the harm?!!!
SIDE EFFECTS
Pet vaccines linked to hypothyroidism

Pet vaccines also linked to behaivoural changes, increased susceptibility to infections, cancer, neurologic disorders and encephalitis, jaundice, organ failure and collapse with auto-agglutinated red blood cells.

TIMELINE
Moore et al. (2005) found that reactions can occur within three days of dogโ€™s injections. These range from the more violent (but thankfully rare) anaphylactic reactions and seizures to the more common welts (inflammation) at the injection points.
http://avmajournals.avma.org/doi/abs/10.2460/javma.2005.227.1102

Vaccinosis on the other hand (disease resulting from vaccinations) is more chronic, taking time to develop. Delayed-type immunologic response takes 10โ€“28 days to set in. The onset of any autoimmune disease is expected to occur 30 to 45 days post-vaccination. But who's looking then?!
https://europepmc.org/article/med/9890056

Vets are proving extremely reluctant to link vaccines to illness. This post was inspired by a client yesterday. 3 days after the jab the dog comes down with an autoimmune condition called immune-mediated hemolytic anemia which studies show is one of the more common side effects. Good luck if your dog gets ill 30-45 days later.

Still today the ONLY large survey of pet owners post vaccination reveals a significant percentage (42%, this figure rose to 49% with extra data) of canine diseases arise in the first three months following vaccination. This is over five times the expected percentage.

"In respect of the illnesses occurring seven days after vaccination, the case against vaccination is even more dramatic. The first interim survey results showed that 25% of illness occurred within seven days, when statistically it should only be 1.92%. This rose to 29% when more dogs were added to the survey. That is to say, the risk of illness is 12.8 times greater than would be expected if vaccines had nothing to do with the illness."

MOST AFFECTED
Small dogs and toys are the most prone, to side effects as still, incredibly, the same COMPLETELY SAFE dose is given to a Chihuahua as a Great Dane, an animal 60 times larger than it. Honestly.

Also white breeds (as we see with food sensitivity) or with coat colour dilution such as blue and fawn Doberman pinschers, the merle collie, Australian shepherd, Shetland sheepdog, and harlequin Great Danes. These breeds are more susceptible to high fevers, post-vaccinal seizures, high fevers, and painful episodes of hypertrophic osteodystrophy or HOD

BEST ADVICE
Here's what the people in the know say to do - don't start too young (as material antibodies are present). This way you only have to use a single shot of DHP (the 3 core vaccines in Ireland/UK, may be different where you are...) then titre a few weeks later to see if it took.
https://dogsfirst.ie/health-issues/dog-vaccinations-part-3-puppy-vaccinations-best-practice/

Blood titres thereafter are best. Ring around vet clinics in your area. Ask if they stock blood titre tests for canine vaccinations (Vaccicheck is a common brand). Somone will. Make sure to compare prices as, while it should be cheap, the prices are still pretty high in some places.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY BLOOD TITRE REVEALS "LOW" ANTIBODIES AND THE VET WANTS TO "TOP THEM UP"...
Taken from the WSAVA guidelines โ€œ...the presence of antibody (no matter what the titre) indicates protective immunity and immunological memory is present in that animal. Giving more frequent vaccines to animals in an attempt to increase antibody titre is a pointless exercise. It is impossible to create โ€˜greater immunityโ€™ by attempting to increase an antibody titre.โ€
TOP TIP:
MOST IMPORTANT, INSIST YOUR BREEDER DOES NOT PUT A VACCINE INTO AN 8WK OLD PUP. THERE IS SO FAR NO BENEFIT, ONLY POTENTIAL FOR HARM. MATERNAL ANTIBODIES ENSURE IT'S NOT NECESSARY AND YOUR LOCAL VET WILL NOT CONSIDER IT IN THEIR MULTI-VAX SCHEDULE.

***

Vaccines are of course, important but perhaps the current vaccine load is not.

As this mentions vaccines and side effects together, Facebook will kill the reach of it and likely kill the reach of my account for a bit. You're not allowed talk about side effects as that might mean people will become aware and want to learn more about....well, vaccine side effects. And we can't have that.

So if you find this post, please share.
