I am considering adding a TECAR unit to my arsenal and would welcome your feedback. I have attached information about the treatment below.
I am thinking of keeping usual Physiotherapy treatments the same and at the same price £65 but offering the TECAR as an add on, usual physio treatment including TECAR £80. Does this sound reasonable?
This cutting-edge device utilises TECAR, Tens and EMS therapy.
TECAR is a form of treatment that uses high-frequency currents to stimulate deep tissue, promote circulation, and accelerate the body's natural healing process. The machine is designed to provide targeted relief for musculoskeletal pain, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility.
The therapy works by delivering gentle electromagnetic energy deep into the tissues of the animal’s body. This energy increases cellular activity, improves blood flow, and accelerates the natural healing process. The waves target specific areas to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and promote faster recovery from injuries or surgeries.
Suitable for aid in the recovery of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, such as tendinitis, bursitis, desmitis, and muscle tears. It is also effective in treating injuries in deep areas of the body that cannot be accessed by other therapies, such as the sacroiliac joint and deep gluteal muscles.
Additionally, it can assist with managing symptoms of osteoarthritis, reducing pain, and improving stride length.
Furthermore, it can promote wound healing, increase tissue flexibility, provide heat therapy for superficial and deep local hyperthermia, aid in lymphatic drainage, and support muscular stability and mobility recovery. It can also complement manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises when used alongside other techniques and modalities.
TENS Therapy - Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) uses low-voltage electrical currents to relieve pain. The device delivers the current at or near nerves to block or change pain perception.
EMS Therapy - Electronic Muscle Stimulation is a therapy and fitness technique. Like TENS, it involves a machine that transmits electrical impulses through electrodes that are applied directly to the skin. Unlike TENS, though, the electrodes from the EMS machine are applied to key muscle groups. The electrical signals trigger repeated contractions (tightening) of the muscles. The contractions can be short and frequent or long and sustained. This process is not all that different from the voluntary muscle contractions associated with strength training and can be a perfect add on to horses on box rest to ensure they maintain strong muscles.
