Here at Big Hearts 4 Small Paws, we aim to help those without a voice. Although please remember we are an independent rescue and we are all volunteers. We are happy to help support other rescues, big or small, charity or independent. You can find and follow us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If you wish to help us, you can:
Become a foster parent,
Join our team and become a driver and/or

scanner
Help as a donations drop off point or collect donations
Vet runs for our foster carers that don't drive.

A post to say a BIG THANK YOU to our lovely followers. Due to your amazing donations we have been able to pay our large November vet bill. Without you this would not have been possible. So this evening, my mum and my brothers had to collect me from vets for pets at County Oak! due to the stress being kept indoors is putting me under Mum has decided I will be allowed out between the hours of 9am and 6 pm if I’m not home by 6 o’clock she will be out looking for me. She has also bought me a collar and put a tracker on it so she can find me at 6 o’clock if I don’t come home!

My mum has been made aware that Pop in cafe in West Green have been feeding me still and offering to give me a way to customers! If anyone is a regular or goes in there, please alert them to the fact that I am a beloved family pet.

I am vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. I also have regular flea and worming treatments. I am fed at least twice a day. I am not a stray and I am not starved!!! 🩵

Baby Dave isn't much of a baby anymore, however he is still waiting for his forever home.

Baby Dave was found outside a fish and chip shop, at around 3 months old and no-one came forward for him.
He must have another cat in the household as he has grown fond of the resident cat.
He is a shy boy, but will come out for food and love once he's settled.
Neutered ✅

Children over the age of 10 preferred ✅

🖤 UPDATE 🖤

We sadly have an update on Bullseye & not the one we hoped for. Although he had responded to treatment overnight he was unable to maintain his glucose levels and had developed jaundice today. The fight was just too much for him. 😢

Our thoughts tonight are with his foster carer, who gave him a loving home & our volunteer who supported her last night & today. A sad day for all our team here at BH4SP.

We would like to thank you for all the messages of support & for your kind donations. We are all so very grateful. RIP Bullseye. 🤍 🐾 🌈

BULLSEYE HAS MADE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT 😻
HE HAS EATEN & IS EVEN HISSING AT THE NURSES. HIS GLUCOSE AND POTASSIUM HAVE IMPROVED. HE’S STILL ON FLUIDS & WE’RE AWAITING A FURTHER UPDATE FROM THE VET.

‼️ URGENT POST ‼️

WE SADLY HAD TO RUSH ONE OF OUR KITTENS TO THE EMERGENCY VET THIS EVENING. HE HAS ANAEMIA & AN INFECTION & REQUIRES INTENSIVE TREATMENT FOR THE NEXT 12-24 HOURS. AT THE MOMENT IT’S CRITCIAL. PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR LITTLE ‘BULLSEYE’. 🙏🏻 😢

These 1️⃣2️⃣ kittens are around 4 months old.
Half have been neutered and microchipped already, the other half will done be in the near future.
They are all very timid, as they came from colonies outside, but it won't take long to come out of their shells I'm sure.
Please do bare this in mind if you decide to apply for any of them at the moment.
The first tabby and white boy already loves affection,
They are all being worked with at their own pace.
They will not be rushed.

A quick, gentle reminder for those needing to surrender cats and kittens. Please understand this is difficult for all rescues.

🔘 We have limited placements. 🔘 We don't use pens.🔘 We run on foster carer basis.
🔘 We cannot take your cat today. 🔘 There is a waitlist.
🔘 We cannot, do not and will not just randomly take a cat because it "looks lost" 🔘 Please paper collar them first and attempt to find an owner.
🔘 If the cat is injured, please take to a vet.
🔘 We are always happy to scan a cat if it a volunteer is free and able to get to the area.
🔘 Please be patient with us. We're only human 🫶

This beautiful boy needs his trouble truffles removing and microchipping, then he will soon be available for his new home.
Albie has lived with young children, a dog for a short period and cats, so nothing much should phase him when he's ready 😻😻

I cannot get my brain around no-one wanting to give Bobbie a home!
She is ready and waiting for her forever home. Let down 3 times, through no fault of her own. She is such a chilled out little lady.
Born on the 6th April 24. Bobbie is the last remaining of her litter. Can you believe it! She is stunning!

Sweetie by name, Sweetie by nature.

This gorgeous young lady came into us heavily pregnant, and gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens the following day.
Having being watched/left to breed repeatedly, this was certainly her last litter. It was quite a traumatic one, with 1 kitten getting their head stuck, and sadly 3 passed away.
No-one came forward for this beautiful girl, and a member of the public was concerned for her welfare.
With no microchip, there was no way of tracing her back to the "owner" and still no-one has looked for her.
It's such a shame as she is such a lovely little girl.
She has now been spayed, and will be looking for her forever home once microchipped and vaccinated.
We don't know how she will be with dogs.
Children we're sure would be absolutely fine with as she loves a fuss, and is more than happy around the 3 where she's fostered.
She's tolerant of cats. There's only 1 in the foster placement she isn't keen on but they keep their distance.

This beautiful Manx boy had been with us almost an entire year!
He's between 2 and 3 years old.
Being a Manx, he has a small, stubby tail.
This is completely normal for this type of cat.
He is a sweet boy, but shy and needs some time to come out of his shell.
Quite often you will see him with a bleep 😹 (tongue out).
We promise, he's not as grumpy as he looks in the picture.

Welcome to the office. Where I get as much work done as I possibly can with a whole lot of crazy. This isn't all of our kittens. This is just 3 litters and a couple of odd born/surrendered/dumped. This is why we ask for your kind donations. Be it financial for vet fees, supplies, neutering, vaccinations etc, or food to keep them going until they go to their new homes. Help For Strays Rescue

I am an independent Stray Cat Rescue in Bewbush. (Trap, Neuter, Re home)

My aim is to get stray cats off the streets and into their new forever homes.

Re homing a stray cat through my rescue involves getting them neutered/spayed , have their vaccinations done with a full health check, request blood tests to check Fiv/Felv, and have a microchip implanted. They will also have flea and worm treatment while in my care. I rely heavily on the community for help fund this.

I am choosing to use Harvest Vet in Maidenbower for all treatment needed.
