🌟 Golden Oldie 🌟

Missie has been visiting Dainty Dogs for 10 years! Our nickname for her is hot chocolate dog; her coat reminds me of marshmallows melting in a hot chocolate ☕️ and we absolutely love her!

She has a nice short trim to keep her clean and comfy 🥰

🌈 Pet Remembrance Day 🌈

Today is Pet Remembrance Day and being in the dog grooming trade for over 12 years has brought its fair share of tragedy and sadness losing elderly dog clients over the years as well as very young ones, and some of them truly have been the biggest impact on my career.

From dogs I trained on, to dogs that created paw sized holes in my heart, I thank each and every client that’s ever chosen me to be their pets’ groomer. It’s a privilege to have met and loved all of you.

Even down to my childhood dogs, thank you to the species for bringing us immense joy, pleasure and memories.

Love to anybody struggling with this today. It’s like losing a true family member and I send all the love 🐶 🐾❤️

It’s Thursday!

We are almost at the weekend and I’ve been kept nice and busy this week with all your lovely furries ❤️

Today I felt the need to highlight the importance of dogs dental care 🦷

This photo isn’t the clearest. But look at the plaque build up along the top teeth…. And ask yourself “am I doing enough to maintain my dog’s dental hygiene?”

If the answer is no, feel free to speak to me about any needs you may have. With over 13 years of experience I can guide you in the direction of either vet care or my care!

The most common phrase I hear is “well he gets a dentistix every day” but these are not sufficient in maintaining dental hygiene and contain unnecessary calories that your dog does not need!

Did you know we do ear plucking? 👂🏼

Ask me to book your dog in for an added ear pluck to their full groom, or as a stand alone service if your dog is in need of clearing the ear ca**l of hair.

Ear hair is “live” hair but it can be cleared easily.

Health benefits of this treatment are
🐾 better air flow to the ear
🐾 can help to clear bacteria
🐾 opens the ear ca**l to treatment if needed
🐾 less smelly ears as some people may experience
🐾 cleaner and easier for the ear ca**l

In some situations hair cannot be plucked and cleared but I can individually discuss this with you.

As you can see photo 2 the dogs ear was starting to become slightly irritated so by clearing the hair the air can get in, the owner can keep the ear clean and also keep an eye if an infection was to manifest.

My own little dog snuck into my bed yesterday and I thought it was too cute to not snap! 📷

Minimal gaps left for the remainder of 2023 now everyone! The supportive clientele I have is just amazing. I am so grateful to each and every client I have and had over the years!

Polite reminder, 24 hour cancellation fees do apply - I appreciate sometimes life happens but I am more than lenient on this usually and sometimes I have to enforce this but thankfully not that often so thank you.
