🌡️HIGH TEMP TIPS FOR HORSE OWNERS🌡️

With the temperatures raising again this weekend, we wanted to share some useful tips on how to keep our four-legged friends cool and safe.

💧 Provide a constant supply of clean and fresh water to prevent dehydration.

💦 Soak or steam your horse’s hay to increase water intake.

🥵 Don’t forget to provide shelter. A cool stable for the hottest part of the day is also a good idea when the sun moves and the shelter in the field isn’t providing any more shade

🕛 Try to avoid flies by keeping the horse in during the day and out during the night.

🐴 Sun cream isn’t just for humans! Remember horses with pink skin and grey or white coat are more susceptible to burning so sun protection is highly recommended, especially on pink noses.

We booked Trish for one week to look after our two furry degus and two musk turtles. Trish is highly professional and friendly. Our minds were instantly put at rest with the regular updates we received and how relaxed our pets were on our return. She even helped with our leaking washing machine! Will definitely be booking again :)

We have known Tricia for 7 years and during that time she pet sat our little cat several times until at the grand age of 21 years we lost her 2 years ago.
Tricia is kind and caring with all animals and has a wide range of experience. She has her own sheep, geese and chickens as well as her own pet cat to care for, together with two very loved horses.
She is reliable and trustworthy and you know your pet will be in safe hands and well cared for during your absence.
