We aim to breed ponies with good temperament and conformation from 30" to 34" We only breed 2 or 3 foals a year which will be very friendly when they leave and will be fully registered with the Shetland Pony Stud Book Soc.

Well it’s official now he has been Microchipped, Meet Cornerways Solo, he was a superstar, we had 5mins notice the vet was on their way. So went and caught him and his mum, he is so cool how easy he is to catch, he loves having his headcollar on. He led the way home onto the yard (in front of his mum) said hello to the vet and apart from the actual stabbing microchipping he stood like a dream. Then he plodded back to his field, the only part he doesn’t like is when you walk away and he gives a little whinny to shout you back ❤️

Little Solo came across onto the yard again (2nd time) he walked lovely and even walked in front of his mum on the way back, little super star! He was so proud of himself he had to tell his fan club when he got back to his field 🥰

5 days old and his first time with a headcollar on and being lead. He was very good for his first time, and it allowed us to move him and mum to a bigger field ❤️ now he has to get used to goats sneaking into his field when they get brave (or silly) enough.

Welcome to the world little Solo. A stunning little c**t, Mum is Cinamon Ice, Dad is Pablo. Solo because we are ‘S’ this year and I’m pretty sure he’s the only foal we will have. Tabs did run with Mystic but I don’t think she is in foal.

The ponies had to come home for their routine farrier visit, it’s harder in winter as we always have it booked for the first visit of the day 8am so we have to fetch the girls home the night before so they are here ready. Where as in summer they are over here anyway. They stopped here until the next day to eat the grass off then we took them back to their winter field all with nicely trimmed feet, I cut their tails too, although I may have done them a bit short this time! Good job they’ll grow back in time for summer. They were all good ponies ❤️

That’s most of the ponies moved into their winter grazing fields. It’s the first time Rose has met the others, by the next day she was ruling the roost! 😂 The lads (stallions) were very uneventful, a quick squeal at each other and they settled down straight away, whereas the mares had a good gallop around before settling down together

27th September 2023 Romeo & Rambo having fun playing whilst Rose is just cantering circles in her own little world ❤️ She was the first to come and greet me but the boys soon wondered what they were missing and wanted cuddles too ❤️

So all 3 foals have had their first proper leading session, it’s the first time they’ve come away from their field and their friends, They came onto the yard at home for lots of treats and cuddles. We lead mum to help ease them into it, but the lads especially were super stars and happily went in front on their way back! All three lead with out any problems, so proud of them ❤️

I’ve opened up another small field so the mares and foals can eat it off for me, you think they’d be heads down and eating, but the foals take it as a key to have a mad half hour again lol

Mystic & Tabs seem to not mind the Pygmy goats are eating what little grass they have! Bit annoying seeing as the goats are knee deep in grass this side of the fence, which is where they are supposed to be lol

The mares and foals are still going in the small field for a couple of hours every day, the foals immediately think this is play time and use it as a race track lol

The small field I put the mares in for a few days as soon as they’ve foaled has become overgrown, so Im letting them in for a couple of hours a day to top it off, the c**t foals we’re so unsure they wouldn’t go in at all on the first day, the filly was straight in there lol, day 2 and they eventually went in and never looked back lol

The last foal for 2023 is a stunning skewbald c**t, born on the 2nd May 2023, mum JustTalking, dad Mystic, very friendly from the minute he was born, he loves to come for a love ❤️

The second foal born is a beautiful little skewbald filly, born on the 13th April 2023, we were not expecting her so soon, mum wasn’t really bagged up, I’d checked them at 2am and was confident mum wouldn’t foal, but just to prove me wrong she foaled between 2am and 6am, mum Dancer, dad Pablo.
For some reason she wasn’t interested in saying hello, even though mum is always coming for a cuddle. She would come and touch your fingers but wouldn’t let you touch her. This last week Hubby managed to actually stroke her neck and from then on she even leaves her mum and comes straight to you for a love ❤️ we prefer to leave them to come around in their own time as they trust you more when they do.

An early morning visit from the farrier today meant it was easier to fetch all the mares home last night so we were ready, so they spent the night here with hay to keep them happy. They were all well behaved today and have now gone back to their winter field with freshly trimmed hooves ❤️
