We aim to breed ponies with good temperament and conformation from 30" to 34" We only breed 2 or 3 foals a year which will be very friendly when they leave and will be fully registered with the Shetland Pony Stud Book Soc.

Well it was worth it it just for the comedy value! I’ve had shetlands for 21yrs. I’ve never used a fly mask on them and they seem to have coped. We only have 3 adults now (& 2 foals). The flies are horrendous at the moment. So I find 2 small fly masks on eBay, I only got to try the bigger of the 2, it was massive on Boo! She handled it well seeing as she’s never had one on before. She was border line freaking out but think she realised there weren’t any flies in it. So went back to grazing. Went to put the smaller one on Dancer, who had already freaked out at the sight of Boo turned into an Alien. I caught her, put a rope round her neck, hubby held her, when she saw the mask coming towards her she was up in the air and off with hubby in tow!! 😂😂 there was no way she was going to look like Boo 😂 we let her go. Took me bribing her with polos and doing a silly dance showing I’d got nothing but polos before she’d trust me I hadn’t got the mask anymore. I did have to take the first one back off Boo, before Dancer had a heart attack!
It was too big anyway, it would have come off if she’d shaken her head. The foals on the other hand thought it was a brilliant new toy! Tango put her head straight in lol. Tiptoe wouldn’t put her head in but was a 100% braver than her mum and was happy for it to be around her. Think I’ll just go back to the normal fly cream! 😂

Everybody is so happy it’s raining today! After days of baking heat and flies it is so refreshing ❤️

It was a play day today for TipToe & Tango, they each came across onto the yard with their mum, had a quick pamper, cuddle and lots of attention, then they were turned back out into a new field. They were both Angels and walked lovely seeing as it was only their second time. Tango even went off in front of her mum on the way back ❤️

Today is the first day the foals have had headcollars on. They were both angels and even had a little walk ❤️

I’ve had the fillies in one field and the mares are strip grazing in the goats field trying to eat the grass off before they all go to their winter field. The mares are struggling to get through it so I’ve put the fillies in with them now to help, its lovely seeing them all together again ❤️

Todays the day the stallions go back together for the winter, very uneventful, a quick squeal then heads down grazing ❤️

Well it’s official now he has been Microchipped, Meet Cornerways Solo, he was a superstar, we had 5mins notice the vet was on their way. So went and caught him and his mum, he is so cool how easy he is to catch, he loves having his headcollar on. He led the way home onto the yard (in front of his mum) said hello to the vet and apart from the actual stabbing microchipping he stood like a dream. Then he plodded back to his field, the only part he doesn’t like is when you walk away and he gives a little whinny to shout you back ❤️

Little Solo came across onto the yard again (2nd time) he walked lovely and even walked in front of his mum on the way back, little super star! He was so proud of himself he had to tell his fan club when he got back to his field 🥰
