Are you looking for the next Canicross champion?! Then look no further than our gorgeous girl, Raven 😍
Raven is around a year old and is with us in Cheshire. She is looking for an active home as she LOVES to run. She is very sweet and friendly and loves to snuggle with our volunteers in her kennel, but she will need a home where she can burn off her boundless energy.
One of our volunteers has taken her out running a few times recently and has been really impressed with her - here's what he says "Raven takes direction really well, and would excel at short distance and Bikejor, but would also happily do 20k and more! She is small enough and happy enough to let you pick her up over stiles. She will run through bogs, puddles, you name it! She runs up and downhill with ease and pulls the whole way". 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
If Raven is the dog for you then please apply via the link on the website https://dobermannrescueuk.co.uk/
We need an emergency foster for this girl, lincs and us are full can anyone help with her please she is in London
WE HAVE HER, THANKYOU TO EVERYONE THAT OFFERED

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FIND – special people for a great dog!
5 year old Dotty has been with us at DRUE for over a year We don’t want her spending any longer in kennels and really need your help to share to all your friends and contacts to get Dotty a home for Christmas so please read on…..
When Dotty first arrived, she was fearful of many things, and was particularly reactive to other dogs and cars. She would often redirect and nip her lead or handler out of fear and stress.
Our brilliant kennel team have worked really hard on Dotty, and her reactivity has greatly reduced. She no longer redirects and can walk calmly past other dogs and has been off lead in a paddock with a dog present on the lead with no reactions. This said, Dotty will not be a dog for you to take to the local park to run around playing with other dogs. She cannot be off lead in public places, and we do not want anyone being over-ambitious about this by putting her in a situation she cannot cope with; it is for her safety if anything happens.
• If your neighbour has noisy reactive dogs then Dotty will react back which would be stressful on everyone.
• She needs a calm home being the only dog in the home and no young children.
• Dotty is not house-trained. Think of it as having to train a new puppy; crating her at night would be recommended.
• Her recall needs a lot of work, she gets easily distracted (living in kennels she is obviously full of adrenaline when she is out)
We think an ideal home for Dotty would be rural (purely due to the reactivity; we do not want her to be set up to fail). Dotty is proper vigilant Dobermann and would be a great deterrent to anyone considering trespassing as she loves to patrol. She is super affectionate and loves a cuddle, particularly having mastered the 'Dobermann lean'

Here’s a lovely video taken yesterday of our beautiful Zara (inside the run) and Pound boy Dustin outside it.
Both are looking for a home still.
Zara is 18months and needs to be an only dog who can live with children.
Dustin is around 8months old who can live with a female dog but because he’s via the pound no cats or children.
And here he is the last one to join us today. Named by Jo Trego and Jane Lewis our pound boy Armani. Huge thanks to Graeme Zuffenhausen for playing Taxi and of course to the guys at
Swale Borough Council Stray Dog Service especially the lovely Mel. We’ve pretty much left him to it today to decompress with a big bone and a big bowl with a wormer in. He’s very thin and in far worse condition than the videos show. This boy really has been through the mill. I’d say around 7-8months looking at his teeth. He’ll have a few days to adjust and then we’ll start working with him and find his happiness.
Little Venus was still very unsure today so we brought in the big guns. Mr Odin came to play. Venus was unsure at first and cowered away so Odin just played with the toys. It didn’t take long for her to follow his lead and investigate the toys and him. We even had her instigate some ‘chase me‘ games and a few play bows. By the end of the session they were best friends and a much happier Venus.
Sometimes dogs learn more from other dogs and feel a lot more comfortable to follow the lead of other dogs.
Beautiful Lady noe Lady arrived late on Monday morning. She’s 2yrs old and an absolute sweetheart . She spent the night at ours and was a well behaved guest. Layla needs to be an only dog but is great with people and very loving. Unfortunately at some stage of her life some scumbag cut off her ear, this doesn’t affect her and she still enjoys an ear rub.
