Do you remember the ginger kittens from the big colony?
Reggie went to his new home just over a week ago, and it looks like he's enjoying his new life.
Even our most nervous of kittens can be brought around with a treat ππ
These really are a gorgeous pair and will make lovely members of the family βΊοΈ
UPDATE: New post coming later but an amazing response to this appeal means we can start neutering as soon as possible.
We are so grateful to everyone who has made this happen.π» ππ»π

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
People who follow cat rescue know how busy rescues are at the moment, but do YOU really understand how bad things are?
The cat in this video is part of a THIRTY CAT COLONY in Crewe.
I was told about this colony a few weeks ago, but to neuter this colony is going to cost about Β£3000!
The original two cats were left behind π‘when their owner moved and an elderly gentleman has been feeding them π
However, they are breeding out of control, and another neighbour has stepped in to ask for help.
The lady has asked both Cats Protection and the RSPCA for help and been offered no financial assistance at all. Two of the country's biggest charities have so far offered NO HELP WITH NEUTERING at all.
We're a very small rescue and cannot afford to do this. The other local rescues are all full to overflowing and financially stretched to their limits.
We can't take all these cats in but if they're not neutered the number could easily double in the next few months.
Imagine if only ten female πhave two kittens each. That's another TWENTY cats ....and so it goes on.
As a community, can you help us to get started neutering these cats?
We don't have many followers so we desperately need you to DONATE and SHARE. Ask your contacts to FOLLOW and SHARE so we can reach as many people as possible.
I can do the leg work, the trap and neuter, but only if we have the funds to pay for this surgery.
Please, please consider donating. These cats need help SOON.

β€οΈβ€οΈ LOOKS LIKE IT'S LOVE! β€οΈβ€οΈ
Eli has fallen head over heels for our new girl Venus and who can blame him! Such a pretty, sweet girl, found in a garage having had four kittens.....sadly three had already died when she was found. Venus is a young cat, 8-12 mths old, very quiet and loves affection, not keen on being picked up yet but that may improve in time, she really is adorable! She's now spayed, blood tested, worm & flea treated and will have her second vaccinations in three weeks time.....given the bond she has with Eli we'd love to find them a home together, he's also a lovely affectionate boy, loves attention.....and just look how amazing his eyes are since his entropian surgery! π
If you can offer these beauties a loving forever home, please get in touch with Susan on 07530 331187 for more details. πΊ

** UPDATE....AS OF TONIGHT, 20 KITTENS NOW SAFELY CAUGHT!! **
A day of mixed emotions yesterday (Sunday)..... Susan's trapping expertise and patience paid off at the feral colony where she managed to catch another 4 kittens, including this little beauty.....a great result, that's 16 so far with promising lives ahead of them! A massive thankyou to Linda at Sandbach Animal Rescue Society for stepping up to take them with no hesitation, we're so grateful..... they're all doing so well in her safe hands! β€οΈ
Sadly, on arrival yesterday morning Susan found a cat, who we believe to be the mum of at least one of these kittens, barely alive....despite frantic efforts to get her to the vets, she was too far gone and couldn't be saved. This was devastating, particularly as she'd been seen the night before and was almost caught, but she got away into a woodpile far too big to move. She was so thin and obviously in very poor condition but we just don't know for sure why she died.....so it's made us all the more determined to keep going until every last cat has been caught, health checked, neutered and vaccinated. Hopefully when they're all done, we'll have a much healthier, more manageable colony which can be monitored and supported to ensure nobody else ends up like that poor girl. We still have so much work to do and as always, we would be so grateful for any donations towards veterinary fees or food, every little helps. Our bank details are at the top of our page or message us for food drop off details.
Sleep tight little one, we're so sorry we couldn't save you but your babies have a bright future and we'll do our best for your friends. π’π½
Lovely morning to be out early to catch this last cat for spaying. She was one of four siblings born last year. We trapped and neutered the two boys a couple of weeks ago and caught her four kittens who are now being cared for by the RSPCA. Her sister, who also has a kitten is in foster with us. So, no more kittens for this lovely girl. She was spayed today, health checked, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and will stay with us to recover before being returned. Thank you to Phil for getting in touch so that these young cats can have a better life. It costs roughly Β£150 to spay, blood test, vaccinate, and flea and worm a female cat. Slightly less for a male. Phil has generously paid for these cats but more often than not, we have to cover the cost ourselves. A regular weekly or monthly donation would ensure more cats can look forward to a better quality of life. Please consider donating so we can keep neutering these feral cats.

β€οΈπ POPPY.....STILL WAITING FOR THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE β€οΈπ
Hard to believe we still have this beautiful 4 year old girl! She's enjoying life with Louisa, our great foster carer, but she really needs a home of her own. She's had bad experiences with other cats and would prefer to be the only one....Louisa has three and although they tolerate each other, there can be tension at times! But she's very lucky to be in such a lovely home.
Poor Poppy has been from pillar to post over the last year.....moved with her original owners to a house with another cat who bullied her, came to us for a few days until going to Louisa, then rehomed but brought back through no fault of her own, back to Louisa......this sweet girl needs some stability! Her next home needs to be forever......Poppy is the most gorgeous cat, sweet with everyone. She loves the outdoors (although seems to be coping well with indoor life) and is quite a hunter (remember...they're just gifts to show how much she loves you π) so we'd be looking for a home away from busy roads and other obvious dangers. Poppy is obviously neutered & chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated, ready to go.....but where??! Please get in touch if you could be "the one" or give this post a share from our main page.....her new home is out there somewhere.... π€π½
π€ WHEN IS A FERAL CAT NOT A FERAL CAT?? π€
Answer.....When she's just a nervous cat tagging along with a colony, lucky enough to be picked up by someone who knows the difference!
This is Flossie, a cat Susan trapped a few months ago at a local colony of ferals, the idea being to neuter and vaccinate her, then return her to the site to carry on her life kitten free, with some protection against disease. She was spayed, her left ear had the tip removed to show she'd been neutered, she's on track to go "home"......but it soon became clear that with a little patient coaxing, this was actually a very friendly cat, just nervous..... understandable as she'd had barely any human contact. So we thought returning her to a tough, outdoor life wasn't an option.....and we're so glad we made that decision! Look at her now, literally just weeks into life in a loving new home, what a difference.....Flossie now loves a fuss, loves to play and is thoroughly spoilt, as all cats should be! Thankyou Heather, for giving her such a wonderful life, if only we could find more people like you! π₯°
So many of these so-called "feral" cats aren't feral at all.....let down by their owners and thrown onto the streets un-neutered, unchipped and hungry, they find food and join in with existing colonies (or start new ones). No wonder they're nervous and frightened of humans, having been failed so badly π‘ But with patience and love they give so much back.....we need to show people these timid cats can make the best pets if they only have the chance......Flossie is just one of many proving this!
Enjoy your new life beautiful one, you deserve it! β€οΈπ½
πΊπ CHARLIE & PRINCESS- STILL SEARCHING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME ππΊ
Remember Charlie & Princess (aka Prinny) from our post 8th March? This beautiful 7 year old bonded pair are looking for a quiet home after their previous owner had health issues. It was such a sad case, however we're sure there must be someone out there who could give them the loving home they deserve!
They are currently being spoiled rotten at Lakeside Luxury Cattery, here's Prinny trying to slow down the cleaning! π
Please do read their story on our 8th March post and get in touch if you think you could be their happy ending! π½
β₯οΈβ₯οΈ GRANDPA BEN UPDATE! π½
We're thrilled to say that our lovely boy has now had his operation to correct his lower eyelids, here he is recovering at home last night.....it's fair to say he's a little less chilled about the cone today, but he's eating and drinking so hopefully he'll get used to it for the next two weeks!
We are so grateful to every single person who donated and shared his post.....without your help he would've had to wait much longer for surgery and entropia is a really horrible, irritating condition. Grandpa Ben would like to thank you all for making his life so much better already! π½
