Exciting new delivery of 4 buggies from Cornthwaite Group. We rely on our buggies on a daily basis to help us feed and check all of our horses. The horses are just as excited to get new wheels for their feeds. 🛺

Over the last few days Chester, the elf was very busy at CRL breaking the ice in water troughs, helping with turn out and feeding our lovely residents. Sometimes he gets himself in a little trouble but after all that he had some well-deserved treats 🍬 from our lovely owners ❤️

Last night I attended a strangles awareness evening held by neighbouring vets, Wright & Morten Equine Clinic. We already have bio security in place for new horses arriving but it was great getting extra advice from Dr Jeremy Kemp-Symonds who has dealt with many cases of Strangles during his years as a vet 🩺

Everyday is a learning day in the world of horses 🐴

Thank you everyone that attended our strangles awareness evening last night! A Big thank you in particular to Dr Jeremy Kemp-Symonds for his time and really interesting talk! It has certainly been a busy few days at CRL but Goose is happy to tell you all we have now transitioned to winter routine ❄️ all of our communal barn, duo bay and solo bay horses are in now for the night 😴🐴 just in time for Storm Babet ⛈️

Henry was so happy to see the sunshine yesterday ☀️ he thought he was looking really good in his reflection 🐴😂

The last few days rugs have been on, taken off, hung out to dry, thicker rugs put on… the weather has been testing but the staff have been taking great care of all the horses🐴

We currently are in the process of getting prepared to bring the horses in for winter ☔️❄️

Yesterday the lovely Spiel came to join the team at CRL and be reunited with his brother, Mudgee who will show him the ropes of retired life. It was lovely to see them together again 🥰

Both of these boys competed in British Dressage to a very high level with their lovely owner 🏆

Disclaimer - I didn’t think it was possible to make myself look any shorter but with both these lads being over 17hh they certainly do 🤣
