⭐️⭐️Going for Gold! ⭐️⭐️

We are so proud to announce that we are a Gold Cat-friendly Clinic!🐈

This means that our facilities and the care provided are to the highest standard, according to the International Society of Feline Medicine and International Cat Care.

❓How will this affect your trip to our practice?

✨We have a cat-only waiting and consult room, limiting any contact with doggies

✨This room is noise limiting

✨Any visit to the vets can be stressful, but all of our staff are trained to help minimise this amount of stress

✨We have a dedicated cat ward, which is also soundproofed. We have large kennels, different varieties of food, bowls, toys, and litter to ensure their stay is as comfy as possible.

✨We hope our feline patients are happy with this massive achievement, but if you have further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact us!

We are super excited to announce that we have a new member of our growing Hamstone Vets Team!

Some of our clients may have already met our wonderful new Receptionist, Kate, but for those of you who haven’t been lucky enough- be sure to read her bio below.

Kate has lived in the local area all her life and has always had a love of animals. She qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Care from Cannington College and has since had a varied career working in a range of animal environments from meerkats and lemurs to horses, dogs, and cats.
Kate has spent 11 years working as a Nutritional Advisor for pet foods, so she is more than happy to answer any food-related queries!
When Kate’s not working she loves to help at a local stables in the beautiful Dorset countryside where she gets to indulge her love of horses.
Kate is married with two children and two dogs, Poppy and Ginny. Since joining the practice, she has added to her gang with the addition of a stray kitten called Maggie.
In Kate’s spare time, she enjoys getting out in the fresh air walking her dogs, or helping at Crewkerne Rugby Club with the Junior section. She can be found at the clubhouse on a Sunday morning serving hot drinks to parents and well-earned hot meals to the players after their matches.

We would like to thank everyone who came to support our dog show, we are truly grateful!

Thank you also to our AMAZING judge, Jenny, to North Perrott Village Fete for having us and to North Perrott Cricket Club for hosting. A lot of hard work and effort went into making the fete such a success.

We're bursting with excitement to have the lovely Erica join our growing team!

Originally from Ireland, Erica completed her vet degree at James Cook University in the Australian tropics, before moving to the UK and settling in the beautiful southwest. After a couple of years in mixed practice, she turned her full attention to companion animals.

With a strong focus on providing the best quality of care for her patients, Erica enjoys aspects of both soft tissue surgery and medicine and plans to get stuck into some further study in the near future, to further develop her knowledge and skills.

Work aside, Erica loves to travel and spend time with her little family, which includes her much-loved rescue cat and bantam chickens.
