Hello folks ☀️

The weather seems to be up and down at the moment, I’m keeping a close eye on what the temperatures are to assess when is the best time for walkies on particularly hot days 🌞

Below is a handy guide of what temperatures are safe or not! Where possible I will go ahead with walks as much as I can, but the dogs safety has to come first 🐾

As we move into the summer months I may alter times of walks to be earlier or later when it’s cooler, but I will assess that and contact you directly to discuss this 😁

Here’s to longer days and hopefully some nice weather and most importantly - happy, healthy and safe pooches! 🐶

🚨 another important message 🚨

Just a message to say please please bare with me in regards to message response time, I am a one man band here at Wander and Woof and my partner works full time ontop of helping every now and again with messages. If I don’t respond, chances are I’m either super busy driving to a sit/walk or on it, or I’ve read it and not had time to respond just yet.

If this happens, please give me a day or two to respond as I don’t factor in admin days and I do it in my evenings and weekends. If you’re brand new to Wander and Woof and are enquiring about sits or walks, I will always do a meet and greet before I commit to any walks or stays to ensure I’m the right person for your dog and I get the approval sniffs! 🐾 there is a 99.9% chance I will say no to a brand new pooch for the same or following day unless there is something unavoidable that means the first meeting will be the sit or the walk.

There are days where your time may differ and change, this is because of unavoidable traffic jams or accidents on the road, puppy accidents that mean I have to stay a little longer, and other crazy things etc that happen to alter my day. All I can do when this happens is apologise and get to you as soon as I can! Being a dog walker is not a 9-5 job in one place, it’s an all over the place all hours job which I love😁

Please note I do not cover the Axminster, Beaminster, Taunton area, I cover Crewkerne and Yeovil and surrounding villages of these areas, is where all my walks are so this will not change in the future I’m afraid.

Annnd breath!

There is a right and a wrong way to be a dog walker, I don’t intend to do it the wrong way.

As things start to heat up here in the gorgeous South West, I wanted to give plenty of notice - please note that I will need to adjust walks in certain temperatures as I will not subject any of the gorgeous floofs I walk to any weather that will injure them or make them unwell. If the ground is too hot for my bare feet, it’s definitely too hot for their little paw pads. Keep your beauties safe folks!

My socials have been a little neglected recently which I do apologise for, I’d like to share some updates with you all about Wander and Woof’s journey so far!

🚛 vehicle
due to expanding my walks and taking on a lot of group walks, I have bought myself a van for safer transportation of the dogs I walk. I have had my van for about a month and the dogs definitely love it as much as I do! ☺️
✍️ admin
As I have taken on a lot more walks, sits and other services, it’s proving quite difficult to be able to keep on top of admin as well as completing my bookings and being able to still have a good work/life balance - which is of course very important! Therefore, going forward all my admin will now be done by my amazing fiancé, as she is a lot better with those things than I am! This is something she is taking on alongside her own job, so with this in mind, please note that all incoming messages will have an average response time of 1 day. If you have not heard back within a day, then please send another message. Please don’t send multiple messages at one time as she will work from the oldest messages to the newest, so if multiple messages are sent this will stay at the top of my inbox and will be last to be responded to. If you have an urgent query, please call me 07706 161167 and I will answer if I can, if not please leave a message with your name and number and I will call back as soon as I can.

🌟 Daisy the cutie pie 🌟

Daisy has been one of my dogs I walk right from when I first started, and we have built an incredible bond and her owner says she waits for my red car 🚗 to pull up, which she was most confused about when I changed to a green van 🚛😂 she’s gone from long lead walks to off leads walks as we got more confident with eachother with amazing recall. She gets rewarded with high value rewards when she recalls from afar or when there are fellow dog walkers and she comes right back. Daisy is a solo walker and that’s absolutely fine, we get quality time together and our bond grows more and more 🙂 if your dog is a solo walker, please get in touch! ✨

🌟 The chronicles of Loki, Eddy, Ralph and Rosie! 🌟

As most of you know a lot of the time my two babies Ralph and Rosie come with me on a lot of my walks, and they equally have their besties! Ralph is in love with Eddy (can’t say it’s reciprocated but Eddy is a good boy and tolerates Ralph😂) and Rosie and Loki are inseparable and have been since they’ve known eachother, the run, they chase, they bark, they swim, and they always do it together. If your doggo is in need of a bestie, there’s always room in the pack for more!

Hello all!
