Lovely to have Rosie and Toby (the black lab) at the park last week. Toby is a registered blood donor with Pet Blood Bank U.K. and attends regular donation sessions in Dundee. There are regular sessions arranged at Fair City Vets in Perth as well. Every time a dog donates blood, it can help up to 5 other dogs. Dogs have to be healthy and fit, between the ages of 1-8 years old, weigh at least 25kg on their first donation session, be vaccinated and not from outside the U.K. (this is to prevent the possibility of infections).
