Let's talk about Christmas dangers. It's almost time for Santa to drop by, which means there is a whole selection of unintentional new treats, toys, and games around the house for your pet(s) to cause trouble with🩺

🍫Remember to keep your chocolate and mince pies out of reach. We've already had a few in to induce vomiting to prevent toxicity signs!

🌲Cats love a new plant to nibble on, but any Ivy, Holly, Mistletoe, Poinsettias should be out of their reach as they can cause stomach upsets.

🎉Tinsel is another favourite by our cats as it moves and encourages play, but if eaten, it can very quickly cause problems in the intestines, creating a blockage.

🍾Remember to prevent your pet from ingesting any sweet but toxic substances like antifreeze and or alcohol.

🍗Having a nice Christmas dinner for your pet can be great fun and but remember those with easily upset stomachs should stick to their usual food.

EDIT: Unfortunately now deceased.

We have a female dog at the practice currently that is recieving treatment. Brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier. Microchip present but details not up to date. Found near the blue sky cafe on the sea front.

Proof of ownership required.

This Christmas we are collecting donations for our local Dogs Trust and Cats Protection🎄

Any toys or food would be greatly appreciated! We want to provide a little Christmas treat for those animals who are still waiting for their forever homes💛

We are also running a little colouring competition alongside this for a small fee of £0.50p donated to either charity. Simply come and pick up a colouring sheet and return it to us by Friday 20th December for a chance to win an exciting prize!🎅🏻
