As most of my customers are aware my little Boe was expecting a beautiful litter of puppies last weekend. She went into labour last Saturday night / Sunday morning and gave birth to 3 beautiful babies unfortunately one of these was stillborn, she struggled through the night so we called the emergency vets ( Vets Now -Pengelly & Mizen ) and took her in asap, I could still feel movement in her belly, she had a scan and we was told there was only one more puppy which unfortunately had no heart beat, they gave her an injection to help bring on the contractions to help give birth, if this didn’t work she were offered a c section, but she did give birth in the vets . As soon as she gave birth they said we could go without anyone checking on her, which we both thought was very odd.
Later that evening she gave birth to another 2 stillborn puppies, Monday evening she became weak and in so much pain to find she was giving birth to another stillborn puppy which she was struggled to deliver and an hour after that another one, that’s not all the following morning she gave birth to her 9th puppy!! 😔
My poor baby girl had gone through so much in 4 days it has been heartbreaking 💔
We are struggling to understand how the vet could only see 1 puppy on the scan, they truly failed my Boe. Angry is an understatement!!
But we are thankful for the two that survived.
