I am 19, and saving to go and volunteer abroad doing animal research projects, and this is a good way of raising funds while working with animals. I am very passionate about the welfare of animals, and I find looking after them is a rewarding experience. I have grown up with animals, having a variety of pets including guinea pigs, a rabbit, fish and I currently have 2 dogs. My services include the
following:
Dog walking (small/medium sized)
Feeding dogs, cats and small animals - this can include giving some medication as I have experience of giving tablets to my dog
Cleaning out small animal cages and emptying litter trays; this could be done while pet sitting at the ownerβs home or during home visits to the ownerβs home
Enrichment (interacting with animals in a stimulating way - treat hunts, teaching basic training commands - sit, stay, heel etc.) Apart from growing up with animals I also have the following experience with them:
Completed a 6 month internship as an animal keeper at a wildlife sanctuary called The Ventura Wildlife Foundation which included looking after many domestic and exotic animals
Studied Animal Management for 2 years at Berkshire College of Agriculture. This included learning about animals and how to look after them and real life experience looking after a variety of animals in their on-site zoo, including dogs, rabbits, ferrets, chickens, various farm animals, reptiles, otters, small primates and more
