Apollo a 2 year old Cane Corso in for 1-2-1 training.

We’ve had a couple of sessions with Apollo to work on his loose leash walking, co-existing around dogs and recall.

We have been conditioning Apollo to the Ecollar to ensure he can have safe off leash freedom, he’s also been to a few of our group classes to help continue improving his obedience and co-existing around dogs.

Ralph 3 year old Weimaraner completed his tailored residential program.

Initial Challenges

• Nervousness: Ralph was initially very anxious, unwilling to take food rewards or engage in any play, making bonding difficult.

• Avoidance Behavior: He would try to run away even while on the lead, showed little interest in working with me and rejected any kind of affection.

• Pulling on the Lead: Ralph’s size made his pulling problematic, making walks a struggle for his owners.

• Unreliable Recall: His recall was inconsistent and on his own terms, rather than under command.

Progress Made:

1. Building Trust: By establishing a positive relationship with Ralph, he became more comfortable and willing to engage with me.

2. Basic Obedience: Once the bond was solid, I introduced foundational obedience training to set clear expectations. With Ralph now taking food, it became an effective tool for reinforcing positive behaviors.

3. Lead Training: Focused on teaching Ralph the understanding of lead pressure to walk calmly on a loose lead, making walks more manageable and enjoyable for his owners.

4. Improved Recall: Strengthened his response to recall commands, ensuring it’s no longer “on his terms” but a reliable behavior.

Ralph’s progress highlights the importance of patience, trust-building, and tailored training approaches in helping dogs overcome behavioral challenges.

Ecollar conditioning lesson with Luna

Luna has trained with us since she was 4 months old, working on setting good foundations and teaching her important commands and behaviours.

We had our 1st lesson today with conditioning the Ecollar over all of her commands she already knows, so we can finally get her fully off lead and enjoy a lot more freedom safely.

Rex a 3 year old Doberman completed his residential training program.

Rex came in for pulling on the lead, generally over excited, reactive to some dogs and would get very over stimulated when his owners or other people would make any fast movements, he would lunge, jump around, become very vocal and stressed out.

His owner used to go running with him but had to stop due to him jumping up at her constantly and being a big boy it would hurt and wasn’t enjoyable.

This is Freki a 6 month old Doberman x Dutch herder in for 1-2-1 training.

Freki pulls on the lead, gets very over stimulated when seeing people or dogs and it’s hard to get his focus. He will lunge jump and pull to people or dogs.

He stops and refuse to walk and bite the lead. Has no recall around distractions and gets very bitey.

Blue is over all a lovely dog, her owner has done a great job with her, she has great obedience but her only issue is fear reactivity towards other dogs when she first encounters them.

This is Togan a 1 year old Husky in for 1-2-1 training

Togan walks on a harness and pulls a lot on the lead, has 0 hander engagement, is very interested in other dogs when he sees them and it’s hard to get his attention away from them and recall on his terms.

We will be conditioning Togan to the Ecollar to allow safe reliable off lead freedom!

Aurora 🖤

Throwback to 3 years ago when my son was 8 years old. You can see in this video he knows when to use leash pressure and guidance to direct the dog on where it should and shouldn’t be, providing safety to the dog and preventing it from eating food off of the floor. When I first got Bruno, my son, Louie was 5 years old. As soon as we got our dog my main priority was teaching Louie how to approach and act around our dog as I knew Bruno would become a very large powerful breed, not be to full on and give dogs their space. I ensured he knew how to understand and read a dogs body language and when to recognise the dog being uncomfortable. This was to ensure no accidents happened, I see it far to often where parents allow their children to have free rein of their dog and they wonder why their dog ‘out of nowhere’ bit their child. Now at the age of 11 he understands how to reward wanted behaviours at the right times and how to appropriately correct a dog when needed. He also understands how to use a prong collar correctly and how to control an Ecollar safely and correctly in order to keep the dog in his control comfortably without the worry of the dog running off or dragging him down the road. Appreciate how much he helps me with residential dogs and organising our group classes! ❤️ #dogtraining #dogtrainer #dogtrainercroydon #dogtraining101

Koda a 1 year old German Shepard in for 1-2-1 training. Koda pulls on the lead, barks and lunges when seeing people or dogs in excitement and doesn’t know how to interact the right way. This learnt behaviour has made it hard to walk him in busy built up areas and parks. We changed the face halti and conditioned the grot collar to have better control of Koda. Taught him the understanding of the heel position, which will help give him a job to do when faced with triggers. Crate training Rolo to insure he has a positive experience with getting in out and of the crate in the van and in and out the crate at home. He now happily goes in without putting the breaks on or any pressure and settles quickly once in.
