🐾 Meet Milo! 🐾

What a wee star this fluffy boy has been over the last 5 weeks at Puppy Training class!

Milo has been such a happy, enthusiastic little learner and has picked up everything we’ve worked on so well. From learning to walk nicely on lead, recall, leave it, hand targeting, sit & stay, mat training to some of the fun stuff too, tricks like spin, paws up and even tackling the mini agility!

A big well done to Milo’s owners too. They listened, got involved and put the work in - and it really shows!

It’s been so lovely watching Milo grow in confidence and skills over the 5 weeks. He really is a little fluff ball of fun!

Well done Milo - keep being awesome! 👏

"Paws Up" might look like a fun little trick, but it's doing so much more than that! 🐾

Trick training is a brilliant way to build your puppy's confidence, improve focus, encourage problem solving and strengthen your relationship. Those same skills carry over into everyday training, making things like recall, loose lead walking, settling calmly and staying engaged with you much easier.

That's why, in my puppy classes, we don't just focus on the "important" life skills. We use fun exercises and tricks to help puppies enjoy learning and develop the foundations they need to succeed in all areas of training.

Learning should be fun for both you and your puppy! ❤️

‼️Final reminder - Consultation closes at midnight tonight!

As a dog trainer, I want to highlight one of the most important parts of the current DAERA animal welfare consultation: the proposed restrictions on the use of aversive training equipment for dogs.

This includes consideration of a ban on:
⚠️ Prong collars
⚠️ Electronic shock collars
⚠️ Choke chains or collars

These tools are widely debated within the training and welfare world and this consultation is your chance to have a say on how dog training and welfare should look going forward in Northern Ireland.

Many professionals and pet owners are moving towards modern, force free training methods that prioritise welfare, trust and clear communication over pain or intimidation. What is decided will affect dogs, trainers, rescues and owners across the country.

If you care about dogs and how they are trained and handled, please don’t stay silent on this.

Because raising a good dog starts early…

Our Puppy Life Skills & Socialisation Sessions are designed to help your pup grow into a calm, confident and well rounded adult dog - all in a safe, supervised and FUN environment.

ℹ️ This is NOT a formal training class
Instead, it’s a guided social experience where puppies learn through:
✔️ Play
✔️ Positive interactions
✔️ Confidence building activities
✔️ Gentle skill development

All sessions are run by a qualified dog trainer, with owners staying with their puppies at all times.

▪️Enrichment games to stimulate busy puppy brains
▪️ Carefully managed puppy play & social skills
▪️ Ad hoc trick training & life skills

Too cute not to share 🐾

This little trainer was an absolute natural - and her puppy was loving every second of their training session at our recent Puppy Training Class!

Teaching simple tricks can be such a fun way to build confidence, teamwork and a great bond (with plenty of tail wags along the way!)
