We have Saturday consultations available at our Glengormley and Crumlin branches. All our branches operate on an appointment only basis.

Lily has gone missing from her home in Beverley, Carnmoney area. She was recently re-homed to a family member when her owner fell ill and has been a house cat since then. She got out through an open window last Friday evening.
She is friendly and can be lifted but can also be cautious if scared and has a small gap out of her left ear which could help identify her.
Please contact the surgery on 02890 849350 during opening hours of 8.30 - 7pm if you see her or know of her whereabouts as her family are very worried.

After a run through the woods, an unfortunate little dog came in with a few extra bumps around his face. After a check over by our vets, we discovered the bumps had legs! 😖 Ticks tend to wait at the end of grass and then jump onto your pet to feed. They are small initially so can be easily missed. Jack's Last Chemo!

This is a very special post about a very special boy 🥰 Jack came to see us at the end of June because he was suddenly feeling very unwell and was unfortunately diagnosed with lymphoma. He was started on chemotherapy and since then he has never looked back! This wee man was a superstar from the outset. He was a regular visitor to our Glengormley branch for his chemo and always greeted us with tail wags and cuddles. He was doing so well that he even got to be a best pup (alongside his sister) at their parents wedding! He stole everyone's heart so we were all delighted when he had his last chemo session on the 9th December and got to ring the bell! Go Jack!! 🔔🥳

Ever had an itchy dog that's losing some hair? There are loads of reasons a dog can lose his/her hair... - Allergies - Parasites - Hormonal problems - Even the summer shave! A really common parasite in dogs is DEMODEX. They live in hair follicles under the skin. All dogs have it in small numbers...it's NOT contagious and NOT itchy. All sounds good, right? Well not exactly...in some dogs the demodex mite can be in very high numbers and cause hair loss...the damaged hair then causes an infection which makes them itchy! The ONLY way to diagnose this problem is to take 'skin scrapes'. This video shows a demodex mite in a sample taken from a skin scrape. These allow us to look at the skin under the microscope and if we find the demodex here we know that is the problem and can get it treated! Niall

We provide a wide range of state-of-the-art services for your pet to ensure their care and comfort. We also have our own 24 hour emergency cover for registered clients to ensure your pet receives attention from your regular vet who has access to all relevant clinical notes. Our out of hours emergency work is carried out from our Crumlin branch.
