IMPORTANT...

I just wanted to let you all know that I have decided to take a break from grooming until further notice.

I was bitten by another cat yesterday and it's left me with another very painful infection.

So please, don't wait until your cats are matted and their skin is so sore they can't bare to be touched. It's neglect.
Its not kind to them and certainly not good for me!

Let the experience of grooming be a positive one from an early age so that it becomes a routine and enjoyable.

Anyone who is booked in regularly, I will still continue to do as I know your cats are well maintained and we have a good routine and rapour, but anyone waiting please get in touch and I can pass on another groomer who maybe haply to help.

Hey All..its been a while but I've been busy in the background doing lots of cats.

My latest new friend is Nala. A gorgeous Persian with alot of talk but no action!! 😼

She was matted badly after her owner had unfortunately stopped grooming her because her daughter was unwell.

It took two sessions to get the matts out but now Nala is back to her beautiful self and you can run a comb through her fur with no problem!!

She's now booked in for regular 8 weekly grooms to keep in top of it all!!

Its been half term here in the Top Cat house.

But check out this handsome boy who I squeezed in before the holidays started!!

Meet Perseus 😍 a very handsome fellow!!

He was unfortunately matted in so many places and down to the skin that the kindest most humain option was to clipper him right back.

The result may look alittle shocking but resulted in one happy chap who had no more pain from the matts that were pulling his skin!!

Jes now booked in for regular maintenance grooms to keep his new coat tip top!!

Saffron and Minstrel.

First grooms today for these siblings! And I think you'll agree, we did well. Just look.at all that

These Persian pair were simply adorable, and absolutely loved their grooms.

They chatted to me throughout (I think Saffron may have had the occasional bad word 😹) but when I had finished both just sat on my lap for cuddles!!

And people ask why I love my job so much!!

Millie had het first groom yesterday.

A few matted areas and very thick fur but we got there.

She absolutely loved her groom and didn't stop purring and showing me her belly the whole time! 😍

So so sweet!
Can't wait to see her again for her maintainance groom in 12 weeks.

He was a proper funny boy.

He swore at me like I have never been sworn at before but sat amd let me clip out his matted areas.

So Mr Fluff had his second groom on Friday.
We managed to remove the last of his tangles and matts.

He was such a good chap. It was like he knew I was helping him.💜

His lovely owner has decided to have him groomed every 8 weeks now, to keep his coat tip top and matt free! 😽

Today's little old lady.
20 years.

She had a lovely bath, which she purred and nuzzled me all the way through, and then I groomed out her matts and tangles.
A couple had to be clipped out.

Her owner said "she's like a kitten when she gets home. Running around all excited"!

Coco amd Skittles

These two sisters were the sweetest!

Despite being deaf, Coco started alittle nervous but by the end of her groom was chatting away to me and loving it!

Skittles was like a bar of soap and kept slipping between my hands, but we got there and both enjoyed their treats after 😻

Today I fell in love with this beautiful lady.

Izzy! 😻

She was such a darling and despite trying to groom out some nasty matts, that she got while her owner was on holiday, there were too many that had got right down to the skin.
So she is off to the vets to have them taken off and then she will have regular grooms again from her lovely mum to keep her beautiful coat tip top again!

One of Today's beauties....

Mr Fluff. What a wonderful kind and gentle old man! 😍
He has arthritis in his back hips which has prevented him from grooming that area.

This has resulted in him being quiet badly matted in these areas.

We took things nice and gently and managed to remove one area on one side. 😌

Because of his age I'm going back next week to do the other side. Letting him have a rest between grooms.

He didnt stay for his after photo. Went to lay down in a quiet corner for his lunchtime nap!

Brunell had a groom today and was a true gentleman. Didn't make a fuss, just laid and let me remove all this dead fur!!
