Beautiful Poppy visited us for her first big girl groom this week after some meet and treat and bathing sessions. Poppy is still very young and is super energetic but she's quickly learning to be calm while on the table 🥰 She's already changed a lot from the dinky puppy we met at her first session!

It's not very often I remember both before AND after photos, but I had a feeling Stanley was going to have quite the transformation! This was his first groom at Lilypads and he was such a sweetheart, I'm already looking forward to seeing him again! 🥰🐾

I just wanted to say thank you to all of my wonderful customers for being so supportive over the last couple of weeks while I get back to business after Baby Jones. I've been really touched by everyones kindness and feel very blessed to have the best customers 🥰

Im back to full hours from next week and I believe everyone waiting for their first 2024 appointment has been messaged/booked in. If you haven’t yet had an appointment sorted then please drop me a message. I shall be starting to sort block bookings for the first half of the year from Monday.

Im thoroughly enjoying being back in the salon with all of your beautiful pups and have some exciting things lined up for this year. 2024 is definitely set to be a fantastic year. Watch this space!

A Happy Announcement

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you are all well and having a good week so far.

Im very happy to say Baby Jones has arrived safely, and I am home recuperating with Brad and my children.

All being well, I am hoping to return to work, albeit on reduced hours and capacity, week commencing 15th January. Im intending to be back to full capacity and business as usual by 17th February. I will be in touch with everyone over the next few weeks to book appointments aswell as this years block bookings. Please bear with me over the coming days and weeks whilst I get back on my feet and back into my routine.

Happy New Year & An Update

Good Morning all,

Happy New Year. I hope you all had a lovely festive break and are ready to go for 2024.

Just thought I’d give you all a little update as to how I am hoping to work in the coming weeks. Im back in the salon today, albeit in a slightly limited capacity as im now 39 weeks pregnant. As my Surro buddy is still happy & cosy for now, while I still can, I am planning on doing a couple of days a week over January & February to make sure that I am keeping all your dogs happy & healthy for the New Year.

I shall be contacting people and booking appointments for this week and next week today and tomorrow and then booking approximately a week in advance as things progress. I have got a master spreadsheet of everyone who needs appointments, but please feel free to reach out if you wish to double check when im anticipating your pup would be due their next groom. I am hoping to be back to business as usual by the end of Feb and will be booking appointments due after 1st March once Baby J makes his arrival.

As much as I am planning to be here, Baby J may have other ideas and he could arrive tomorrow or in a fortnight, it’s all a little uncertain for now, but I promise as long as I’m safe to work, I will be here with the help of Liv, Hannah & Louise. If for any reason I need to reschedule your groom, I will give you as much notice as possible. If you do have an appointment booked and not heard otherwise from me please assume we're still all good to go ahead! Thank you all for being so understanding.

The very handsome ColliexHusky Loki after his recent bath and deshed. He did super well and took everything in his stride! Even gave us some beautiful shots in our photo area at the end of his groom, although one or two definitely had the husky "unimpressed" face 🤣

Evie is a gorgeous rescue French bull dog, she really fell on her feet with her new dad! she now comes to us for monthly pamper including a bath, dry, deshed and nails. It keeps her in top condition, and she enjoys the fuss 🥰

As some of you know, and ever more of you are noticing, I’m currently growing another tiny human! This little one is a surrogacy pregnancy for some very wonderful friends of ours 🥰, so while I won’t actually have to care for another baby at the end of it, I will be taking a short period of time out to recover and allow my body to heal.

So, the plan…

Baby J is due start of January so it will (hopefully) be business as normal up until Christmas, although as with previous years this is a very busy period and the diary is very nearly full already. If you haven’t already booked your appointment for this period, please reach out and let me know if you’d like one so I can work through the list and allocate the remaining appointments.

I'm then hoping to be able to continue to offer some appointments through January and February (depending on when Baby J arrives and how my body is doing post birth) but these appointments will be very limited and only for dogs that are less physically demanding.

I wont be prebooking these appointments due to the unpredictable nature of childbirth! However I am keeping a list of those wanting appointments and will contact people as im able to see them. Louise is also hoping to help with my reduced availability, her 2024 diary opens from late November. I’m then hoping to be back to my usual grooming schedule from March.

Handsome Duggee visited us for his Summer pamper this week. He had a conditioning bath & blowdry, a thorough deshed, his ears cleaned and nails clipped and now he's feeling super smart! What a good boy! 🐾❤️

🐾 Saturday Spa Days 🐾

It’s lovely to have this beauty back in the salon, giving us lots of kisses and cuddles.

Her owners bring her on a 200 mile round trip, just to come see us on a monthly basis. She really is part of the Lily Pad furniture.

Saturday’s are the best spa days.

When you need to be groomed but the rabbit toy is life 🙈

Enzo was quite apprehensive when it came to grooming when he first started coming to Lilypads. It quickly became apparent that he wasn't fussed with food, however Enzo LOVES to play. We take plenty of play breaks during his session to help him decompress and make positive associations with the salon. He now comes bounding in and loves his grooming sessions!

🐾Lola🐾

It was definitely snowing the salon when Lola came to visit! Being a husky x collie Lola had a lot of loose hair to shed. A good bath, blowout and deshed later and she was feeling a lot lighter! Doesn't she have the most stunning eyes! ❤️
