British Horseracing as part of their policy to improve the sport and industry have the Racing Staff Development Programme and the Jockey Coaching Program which tour the racing yards and support staff with various training opportunities.

Fossilfield’s Race coaches are all qualified through the RSDP.

Our young Director Lori Walsh (level 2 coach) recently underwent some work rider coaching as part of Lucinda Russell Racing and received some great feedback from both the Racing and Jockey coaches -

"Here is the jockey coaching feedback:

Lori - Brilliant rider, lovely position and had all of the horses working well under her.
- Very established on the mechanical horse, fit and very competent well done."

Ed Walker Racing have vacancy for a full-time riders to join the friendly team.

Accommodation on site is available for the right candidate. We work on the 40 hour week basis (full-time), which means working 1 in every 3 weekends as well as having Tues-Fri afternoons off on the week following your weekend working.

Must work well within a team and experienced and competent riding racehorses, references are required.
