Granny Pig Herd Update.
Stormi and Bal joined the herd today after arriving a few weeks ago. Coco G , Rita, Daisy, Milo and Nym are being very super friendly ♥ Delighted with how everyone is getting on.
We currently have 51 piggies. .We sadly recently lost Woody, Cookie and Suzy.
We have 2 new piggies waiting to come in.
I will update on the Wheaky Weans Herd soon.
As always donations are how we survive. Its hard keeping the page updated, look after everyone in the menagerie and be self employed. Juggle Juggle but without your support we couldn't do what we're doing xx

MONTHLY UPDATE...Better late than never.
All is good here. My health has dramatically improved since stopping eating dairy! Feeling like a new woman so accommodation expansion is all go!
We have 52 resident piggies.
Welcome to the herd to Coco. Coco lost her friend and is a spritely 5yo so her family asked if she could join the Granny Pigs. Another selfless surrendered as she is a very loved piggy but her family didn't want her to be lonely. She's settled in amazingly well and has me completely wrapped around her little paws with all that magnificent ginger fluff 😍. As we have 3 cocos shes going to affectionately be called Coco G .
We're making good progress with the accommodation expansion and so fingers crossed the Wheaky Weans herd will have much more space soon.
I hope you're all well and happy. Planning lots more photos and videos for the page now I have more energy 🥰
Were ok for nuggets atm but donations towards treats, hay, veggies and bedding always gratefully received.

BOARDING UPDATE
All boarding drop offs and collections are between 5.30 and 6.30. You will be given an appointment time. PLEASE do not arrive early (or late). We have a single track drive so if you arrive early you will potentially be blocking another car in and I will be busy with other customers. Please wait at the bottom of the road by the horse trailer until your appointment time. If you are going to be more than 5 minutes late please call to let me know. I'm extremely busy and instead of sitting waiting can be getting on with jobs. If you are going to be very late I cannot guarantee I will still be available and may need to reschedule drop off/collection.
Sorry if this sounds blunt but I create appointment times to avoid car chaos as much as anything.

❤🌟🐹🌟UPDATE🌟🐹🌟❤

Running on the theory better late than never!.... an update! 🥰

Omgoodness I am beyond busy with my new shop, felting workshops, rug commissions, family events, animals, trying to revamp my horrific garden and being ill again!! I did have a treat day away at Lunan Bay Farm on their farm to fibre day and met amazing people and goats 🐐!
The piggies are all doing great! The Wheaky Weans are a super herd of 46 and all thriving. Hopefully the next few weeks will see their outside accommodation doubled in size and a restart on the wendyhouse!
We had a new older lady move in to join the Granny Pigs.... Rita has been a regular boarder and sadly lost her friend Doreen 😔 we were really sad to hear about Doreen as she was a hilarious character! Rita has settled in amazingly well and has teamed up with Nimb which is lovely as she was a bit of a loner. We have 5 granny pigs and they have me well trained to provide treats on command...regularly!!
Its foraging season and I highly recommend following the lovely Val from BCC Forage For All. So many treats your piggies can have growing in your garden! .
We currently have 8 piggies in boarding and they are enjoying a selection of foraged greens aswell as bought veggies! The wee wild raspberries are nearly ready a firm favourite with the piggies.

Thank you so much to Emily Jo Photography for her time and donating us the photo shoot! Pumpkin Spice and Sparkle were brilliant at posing ! Fluffy and Luna also took part and there will be more photos to follow. Highly recommend Em for photos shes so animal friendly and was super patient and had great ideas 💡 ❤

On Monday, I had the pleasure of photographing these beautiful guinea pigs. How sweet are they? 😍

A lovely local lady, Kirsty, runs a guinea pig sanctuary. There are approx. 50 guineas staying with her, and they have a home for life! 🥰

While this shoot was part of my freebie sessions to build a portfolio, I will always be happy to do shoots for sanctuaries and rescues for free. Kirsty does a great job of looking after these guineas, and you can find the sanctuary on Facebook if you wish to donate funds for food and care:

This is Fluffy she has come to live with us with her bestie Luna. Very loved piggies whos human is moving abroad and cannot take them because the country won't allow imported piggies.... their human was heart broken 💔 but here they have a home for life with us. we send updates and their human can visit when back in Scotland. We can't keep helping piggies and their humans unless we expand out accommodation. ..every £1 helps and is so appreciated.

💖 Check those Pigs! 💖

This is your reminder to give your little best friends a full check up today (and every day going forwards!).

👀 - Are their bright, alert and free from any redness or debris? Please note that white discharge in small amounts is a normal part of their cleaning routine
🐽 - Are their ears, mouth and nose free from any unusual discharge or excess saliva? You may also notice their ears need a clean or some balm for dryness
🦷 - It's handy to get your piggies used to you touching their mouth to check their teeth are in good condition. Feel around the mouth and chin for any unusual bumps.
👄 - Listen to their breathing to check it sound normal and not crackly or laboured
🍑 - Lift your piggies up to have a look at their bum for any signs of bad p**p, bleeding or irritation
🥰 - Strokes and cuddles are a great opportunity to feel for lumps or bumps and check their overall coat condition. Any excess hair loss or dryness could be cause for concern.

These beautiful ladies Fluffy are Luna have joined the family. They are very very very loved piggies whos owner is moving home to Taiwan and can't take them with her .
They are super snuggly and settled really well.
Back to 50 piggies so all donations very much appreciated.
We are currently short of nuggets and pennies for veggies.

Omgoodness how is it May!
I'm so sorry the page has been so quite 😔 I have been ill most of April and I opened a shop today! So busy and exhausted whilst running on empty is an understatement 😴 😪
All the piggies are well and happy 💞 The Wheaky Weans herd is a whopping 44 piggies. Woody and Buzz LOVE living with the girls and still get on great with each other which is just perfect 👌.
We have lost a few of the Granny pigs so that wee herd is Milo, Nym, Daisy and Suzy. All doing well .
As always thank you so much for your fantastic donation ❤ Seriously I couldn't afford to do this alone. I will be better at posting as hoping my new routine will help me be more organised!
Adhd .... hate a routine but thrive in one 😉
Its foraging season too so I would highly recommend following BCC Forage For All Vals knowledge is fantastic and shes a brilliant support to the Sanctuary.

I am raising funds to buy another one of these for the piggies. Its currently on sale! It will connect with our current one by a tube to double the size of the piggies outside snuffle, hide, tunnel and foraging area. The existing one will be connected by a tube to the wendyhouse. It will be a super herd of over 40 piggies! I need my living room back 😩 I current have a huge enclosure on the floor! its all a bit ridiculous 🙄 So please spread the word 🙏 ❤

Our small galvanised cage measures at 3m x 2.8m and is the perfect walk in pet run. It can also be used as a pet exercise cage as it offers good space inside enough to keep dogs, chickens or rabbits.

Its mega busy as usual here ! massive thank you to Fynn for looking after everyone while I was away up north for work.
We lost Humbug, Poppy and Ginger (ginger pig) last week .... they were real characters and really missed. Its quiet without Gingers wheaks at any noise !
Woody and Buzz are back to normal after their neutering...just waiting until its safe to pop them in with the girls!
We currently have 49 piggies and that's a lot for now.
We are desperately in need of hay and nugget donations. I have had to buy lots recently and I really can't afford it without help 😕
