We were fortunate to have two new additions to the gang last week in Frankie the working Cocker Spaniel & Winnie the English Springer Spaniel from Springfield!

We recently started using a secure dog field near Falkland for a few of our walks each week as well as going to our usual haunts up the hill/at the woods etc. One of the great things about the field is that it allows all of the dogs to be able to all run wild off lead together for their entire walk. The gang absolutely LOVE going here & definitely need a good sleep once we drop them back at home afterwards😃🐾
In addition to that, there’s always lots of new scents for the pups from other people exercising their dogs here & it’s also brilliant when we have new recruits join the Murphy’s Mutts pack as we can take them to the field & introduce them to all of their new buddies as well as testing out their recall in a completely safe environment!
Anyone can book the field for half an hour/an hour at a time at very reasonable prices & you can do so by joining the Happy Hounds Secure Dog Walking Field page on Facebook & simply sending a message to enquire about days/times🕰️👏

The excitement for this week has been us gaining a new recruit to the pack, Jessie the gorgeous one year old Cocker Spaniel pup from Cupar!
As you can see, it was a rather damp first walk for Jessie on Monday. She had a great time nevertheless, & fitted right in with all of her new chums🥰🐕🦺

In the thirteenth edition of Murphy Meets, we get to know this loveable fella, Elvis, a bit more!
NAME - Elvis
BREED - Basset Hound🐶
GENDER - Male
AGE - 8
BACKGROUND - He was rescued by his very loving mum at 2 and a half years old
SIZE/SHAPE - Elvis is a big, strong guy who’s very low centre of gravity makes him impossible to shift if he decides he doesn’t want to do something😂
OUR RELATIONSHIP - Elvis, & his little brother Vinny, joined the Murphy’s Mutts gang last summer & we’ve been fortunate enough to get to know them both well since then
PERSONALITY - Three words; fun, relaxed, friendly
TRAITS - In true Basset Hound style, Elvis LOVES having a good sniff around on our walks
FAVOURITE FOOD - Greek yoghurt, Pedigree Rodeo’s & watermelon🍉
GENERAL NOTES - Elvis has the most beautiful tri-colour coat
FUNNY STORY - He’s garnered a reputation of being a food pincher; he’s eaten 4 rolls that were meant for a hooman’s lunch, ate 3 fudge doughnuts in the back of the car (Fisher & Donaldson’s, no less!) &, last but not least, tried to make off with the Christmas turkey one year🦃

It’s Take Your Dog To Work Day today, & whilst I’m lucky enough to be able to have my best pal with me each day, not everybody is as fortunate! We therefore thought it was a good opportunity to share some of Molly’s recent shifts at her mums workplace in St. Andrews!
Lindsay works at & our pup occupied the role of Office Dog for a few days over the winter🦮💻
Molly proved to be a firm favourite with her mums colleagues, even to the point where they wanted her there more often & I had to argue to keep her with me & all of her doggy friends on our walks every day (I’m looking at you, Deb!!)
As you can see from the photos, the guys at TESA even posted on their social media to announce their newest (& cutest!) member of staff❤️🐾

GENDER - Female🙋♀️
AGE - Lola will be 6 in September this year
BACKGROUND - She’s been in the Small family since she was a little pup
SIZE/SHAPE - Being a Lhasa Apso, you’d expect Lola to be small bit even by Lhasa standards she is particularly dainty & delicate❤️
OUR RELATIONSHIP - I knew Lola’s mum before we started up Murphy’s Mutts
PERSONALITY - She’s a very sweet girl with a hint of diva😂
TRAITS - On our walks, Lola will wander along at her own speed while doing lots of sniffing &, every now & then, she’ll have these adorable little bursts of energy where she’ll sprint around the place
FAVOURITE FOOD - her ultimate treat is tuna
GENERAL NOTES - she gets on like a house on fire with the other little Lhasa that we walk, Leo👩❤️👨
FUNNY STORY - Lola’s mum was recently sitting on the couch with her watching tv & nipped through to the kitchen to grab something, leaving an open packet of Milkyway Magic Stars not thinking they were in any danger… When she returned, only moments later, Lola had devoured the lot😝
