We certainly have something to smile about!

Today we had our inspection from Fife Council and their appointed vet.

Our annual inspection is an on spec visit where we get no prior notification. It means that they see us in our true colours, warts and all! They go through everything with a fine tooth comb- our cleaning procedures, infection control, cat enrichment, cat welfare, paperwork, medicine administration ….the list goes on!

It is always reassuring to be told by ……. the more professional professionals, that we are doing everything right!

Both inspector and vet said they were determined to find something wrong…. But they couldn’t!

Big thumbs up for us, and you can go away knowing that your cat is getting the best care possible!

Sorry for being so quiet on the page the last few days, but it has been all systems go at the cattery!

Lots of new visitors, as well as some very familiar faces. Lots of playtime and cuddle time which is the best part of the job!

A few of the guests we have had the pleasure of looking after in 2023! At this time of year, I always have a thought for the kitties I have looked after over the year, that are spending their first New Year at Rainbow Bridge. They all hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget them, or their lovely owners. I will raise a glass to them ❤️ Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to look after your precious cats. It truly is an honour! I’m looking forward to what the year ahead brings- returning kitties and meeting new ones! From myself, Stuart, Amy and Hannah (and all our 4 legged friends, big and small!), we wish you a very Happy New Year!

This gorgeous boy came in for his holidays on Saturday. His owner was quite reluctant leaving him as the last cattery he stayed at, he spent the whole time hiding in his carrier. He didn’t go near anyone and hardly ate. Like humans, sometimes cats just don’t feel happy some places, and it’s nothing that anyone does wrong-they just can’t settle. Going by his purrs and the way he is looking for attention, I’m so happy that he likes our place and I I think he has found his happy holiday home! This is why I love what I do!
