🙀Missing Cat🙀

We have been informed of a missing cat possibly hid in owners car and jumped out when they arrived at work within the industrial estate however they are not 100% sure of this.
He is not from around this area so likely he is hiding somewhere within the industrial estate.
If you happen to see him please DO NOT approach him, he is not keen on strangers 🚶‍♂️‍➡️

If you spot him please contact us and we will let the owner know.

Unfortunately we have a deceased male ginger cat handed in that was found at Bow of Fife. Please share and if he belongs to you phone the practice on 01334 650888.

Sadly, we have had a large ginger, entier male cat handed into us who was found at the side of the A92, Newburgh turn off. Passed away as a result of a road traffic incident.

He is not microchipped so sadly we can not contact his owners.

🪱⛔️Worming ⛔️🪱

We have seen a large number of red worm issues over the last few weeks. This is particularly common in horses under 5yo and can be life threatening.

Symptoms include:
✔️ diarrhoea
✔️ rapid weight loss
✔️ swollen sheath / belly
✔️ dullness / innappetance

Treatment for cyasthominosis (red worm) is intensive and may require referral to hospital facilities.
Please remember good pasture and yard management is crucial to reducing worm burden.

Now is the time to worm with a larvicidal wormer (moxidectin +/- praziquantel)

Please speak to us first if your horse presents with any symptoms prior to worming.

There have been multiple confirmed cases of flu in the Aberdeenshire area. Please remember to keep your horses and ponies vaccinated as this will greatly reduce the severity of symptoms.

Symptoms can include:
⚫️High Temperature
⚫️Cough
⚫️Nasal discharge
⚫️Dull/Lethargic

This is a highly infectious disease which can spread very easily. If you suspect your horse is feeling under the weather don’t hesitate to give us a call:
