Wishing you all a Happy New Year for 2025 - RE LESSONS - PLEASE READ!!

Lessons for January will be a little different to normal due to my ongoing personal issues and because Winter weather is rubbish, unpredictable and a complete party pooper!

I will ONLY be available for lessons on the following dates: -

Thursday 9th January
10am - 12 noon - group lessons at Howe
1-4pm - private/semi private lessons at Brunton
6-8pm - JUMP CLINIC at HOWE

Friday 10th January
10am - 12 noon - group lessons at Howe
1-7pm - private / semi private lessons at Brunton

ALL Bookings must be done by PM to this FB messenger ONLY - all other messages/emails will be ignored. The two HOWE CLINICS and any group lessons at Howe are booking and payment as normal (i.e. payment in advance to secure your space) but all other lessons will be payment when the lesson is confirmed to ensure that the weather conditions are appropriate.

All lessons are subject to the weather/arena conditions and availability of the arenas at Howe.

All private (45 mins), semi-private (1 hour) and group lessons (1 hour) are £30 per rider.

To book a daytime group lesson at Howe : -
1. PM me your interest - what time/date you can do, etc BEFORE the start of the relevant week.
2. As soon as I have enough for a group (3 min / 4 max) I will check availability with Howe.
3. I will confirm the lesson with all members of the group and check the weather (Met Office) and then the booking will be firm and payment is needed. PLEASE don't 'book' a slot and then decide to get your hair done, etc ... I will be as quick as I can to confirm but these things take time to organise.

To book a private / semi private lesson at Brunton - PM me times/dates available and I will check my diary and confirm - payment will become due when the lesson is confirmed.

Just to make it clear - I will not be travelling out to any yards to deliver lessons during January. I will only be coaching at Howe or Brunton and on the dates listed above.

BHS APC CPD morning at Lucinda Russell’s yard A fantastic opportunity to look behind the scenes at how Lucinda and Scu (Peter Scudamore) train their horses - Lucinda is amazingly open about her training methodology and her focus on using science/research based methodology to work within one of the most highly regulated equine sports. She has a huge focus on protecting their respiratory health and developing their musculoskeletal-skeletal strength and fitness (explained in detail but I am not sharing 😉). All horses get daily (and if appropriate, overnight) turnout, in addition to their exercise, in addition to regular amounts of dust free fibre (haylage) and feed. The love of their horses was absolutely apparent at all levels - always seeking to give them the best … and find ways to make it better ❤️❤️. We are so lucky to have this facility so close and for Lucinda to be so open to sharing and explaining everything - it was fascinating ❤️❤️ Thank you to Lucinda, Scu and to BHS Scotland for organising it ❤️❤️

Great morning for some water training … and no-one went swimming 😉❤️
